@koda,

Congratulations on an excellent application!
Thank you for all your efforts.
Well, some users (Arctucas here & Litean on my forum) found that the new CD version don't flash the nvidia based boards (but USB version is fine).
So i worked hard today on this method (again :D), modified a bit, tested, tested & tested ... (USB & CD version) ... and it seems (at least) to work correctly.
So new release with Update to 0.71 for USB version and complete v0.71 CD version.
This v0.71 adds P5Q-Pro 1613 & Rampage Formula 0701 too (minor release for new bios) :D

USB Key version : v0.7

I am having trouble getting the syslinux part to work....
When i go to the "INSTALL" directory via the windows cmd prompt and then type syslinux -ma E: , i get the following message:
Accessing physical drive: Access is denied. Did not successfully update the MBR; continuing...
Then I'm taken back to the INSTALL directory.
Any idea why this is happening???
EDIT: I'm on Vista 32
Are you running the command promt with elevated privileges (a.k.a. "Run as Administrator")? If not, that might be the reason.
Also, make sure your pen drive is unlocked (some of them allow to disable writes through a physical switch), AND you're using the right drive letter (the "E" you refer to is the pen's letter driv, right?).
That should work. If not, probably only koda can help you.
Cheers.
Miguel
__Miguel__ is right ;)
Are you sure to use the right letter for your pen drive ???

Thanks for your efforts koda
I have noticed that ASUS have released a P5E3 Pro motherboard which is a spiritual replacement for the P5E3 (standard) as it also has a 1MBit BIOS image.
Is this going to be supported in a future tool and would cross flashing be possible? (even though the P5E3 uses the X38 chipset yet the Pro uses the X48?)
John
John,
well success with this cross flash (P5E3 into P5E3 pro) depends upon the difference between PCB & components.
If there is not really big difference, this could be possible.
About supporting P5E3 Pro, i will look if i can release a new & maybe last release for 775 socket.
Some people asked me about 1366 socket, i can't atm because i don't have any Asus x58 mb in my hands.
It is not very serious to release something that you didn't test ... it is very hard to release versions without any "guinea pig" board ... if any Asus PR read this ;)
Thanks Koda
Well looking at the board layout and manual for the P5E3 Pro it does look practically the same, the only difference is the P5E3 Pro has "Express Gate", P5E3 and P5E3 Pro both have 12VATX connectors instead of EPS12V connectors like other P5E based boards and they both have the same number and position of PCI and PCI-E slots.

Can I make a "Lite" version of this tool? :surf:
Ket,
Any help is welcome, please PM me and let me know which mobo do you want to be in charge ;)
@Koda,
I was wondering if you were planning on expanding KodaKey to include Asus' X58 and P55 motherboards?
Thanks again for a great app!
Hey Arctucas,
not for the moment because i don't have any Asus board with theses sockets for deep testing and got some serious health's problems for a few weeks.
