Well my card was overheating and i found the cause while benching....Ill make it short.

This is the card that had defective Heatsinks,, (couldnt find the reciet to ship it back to Visiontek)
So i decided to fix the studs and add only MX-2 to the heatsinks(everything else is stock including the fan)

I need another Mobo to Hit 3.6ghz....AMDgputool wont let me set the Clocks higher than 918mhz:ROTF: I guess it may be the 3870x2 bios limit? Ram goes above 1100mhz but if i set GPU to 935mhz it defaults to 918mhz.

well LOL.. I have a lil higher score, I just ordered the Swiftech H20 220 Apagee GT kit, should be here Wednesday. I hope to run Higher CPU. I loaded Catalyst 8.7 for this run. 3.0ghz core CPU.. 850core and 2500mem VGA. Giving another go @ 3.1 today. My dumb PSU keeps dropping volts when I have the GPU's plus Phenom Maxed... I need a new one of those too.. any suggestions?????

I never thought about putting a 3850 in the system...I fugured it wouldn't do well being in a 8x slot and the fast it was a 3850, plus My psu is about to crap..

I would say 4870.. then you can always add another latter if you need it. Plus the 4870 is fast enough for todays games...But i dunno about the 1gig version.. What is the price difference..?
