Should start seeing results today, as they have now released the quad SLI drivers. The change log for XP versions says nothing about Quad support though. I bet Vince has had them for a bit though :)

I believe this applies to tri-sli as well. NVidia takes advantage of techonolgy specific to Vista to enable tri and quad sli.

I thought it was the framebuffer in xp... tri-sli "should" have worked, no? quad probably never will.

I bet Vince will do a Quad SLI with Skulltrail @ 5.8ghz and demolish the 3D mark world once and for all! At least I hope he does :D

Yeah, how come you havn't used those kickass 9775 skulltrailz before vince? Or even a 9770 over your 9650 that you have now for that matter?

Those are better and give you more points in 3dmark06 :)

point difference is marginal

790i boards are dead easy to OC and 9770 or good QX9650 frequencies will ultimately be higher (= better) than skulltrail

skulltrail has crap memory options and it's DDR2 as well

good overall system is also important '06 and other 3D tests :up:

the very thought of quad sli 9800's makes me quiver with excitement. You'll post crysis vids right? I mean, crysis at very high runin 40 fps would make a nice youtube video :P

If I recall.... the skulltrail system that fugger OC'd nearly broke 30k because of a 12k+ CPU score in 3DM06... why not do that same rig with LN2 cooled 9800GX2's in quad sli and see what the benchmark turns out? Im sure that a lot of driver issues are holding it back... but damn i would at least like to see them try.

We have probably not seen any quad results because the new drivers aren't making much of a difference.

Been working with NVIDIA this week on the cold throttling and it's lookin good. I'm re-running all the single card marks later today after I get more tek units out, then quad results will come. New gpu units are making it impossible to find time to bench atm.

I could imagine... units, nvidia and so on, atleast is good you have your own company with people that works for you, so you save the work time...
