Sorry for my late replies guys but I'm too busy with work PLUS that I encode a LOT of problems with my hardware lately.......:(

My Retail QX9650 is dead (5720MHz 2k6)..... :(
My 2900XT was left in it's place wet without drying it (about a month ago) and it got corrosioned and it never boot up again (one led it always on).... :( I then insulated another one, and it had cold bug up to -48*C and with the mods went to -104*C so NO WAY to bench @1300MHz core..... :(

I then insulated another one that did decent 1300MHz and I was ready....TILL YESTERDAY.... I was placing the VGAs onto the mobo when esdee knocked my door.....He wanted something and when he got it and was leaving, he goes to me: "I don't think that after I go your VGAs won't work and blame me?"....THAT was it....Closing the door behind him, I then continue to the installation.....I heard a "criiick" from Vince's VGA....After testing them....NO 3D out of it and artifacts..... :(
The people who knows esdee with sympathise me.... :)

I then uninstall the heatsink and stuff from my other VGA (the second one I had during Plaisio Event - you* guys remember - and I re-insulated and mod it too.....Tested it and I'm OK - FOR THE TIME BEEN -

I had few LN2 so I only did 2 tests in 2k6 until tomorrow that I'll go and get some..... :)
I just hope esdee won't come tomorrow (he hadn't come over a month since yesterday).... :(

Some testing.....
GT1 in 2k6 was about 100fps at ONLY 5600MHz CPU

At this point I would like to ask a BIG sorry from KINC.....Why?....Because I show with my own eyes that - EVEN at LOW CPU frequency - GT1 CAN be EQUAL with GT2 in 2k6 with high clocked 2900s......

Only a screenie for now.... 1st VGA is at 1300/1030 and 2nd is at 1300/1050......Tomorrow the rest....I think that we will have a "battle" with NVIDIA...... :)

so sorry for all the harware troubles, that's why extreme benching is much much harder than it seems, something always goes wrong.

about King, so that means his 30k score was legit and he was the first one over 30k ?

I don't know if it was legit (not corrupted I mean)....I know that with drivers 7.11 and 7.12, GT1 and GT2 are equal or so....That's the reason I'm calling for sorry from him..... :)

if I remember correctly argument that GT1 and GT2 are equal was the strongest in favour of corrupted result, nontheless King is going to be pleased :D

woah George sorry to hear about your cpu and gpus there - unfortunately nothing can replace gem/nice oc'ers without more effort in finding them :(

Sorry to hear about your loss. But look at it this way: If it isn't dead, then you haven't pushed it far enough:)

But does your test mean that the 999mhz "rule" is a joke?:confused:

There is NOT such rule.....IF you can take your rams higher it helps.....I got ~1fps more out of them from 999 to 1030 1st and 1050 2nd VGA.....I'll see if I can push 1st VGA's rams at 1050 too... :)

First try....NOT Bad for ONLY 5600MHz CPU power.... :p:

At 5640MHz, I had ~100fps on GT1 and ~1.5fps more on GT4.....I'll try it there next time PLUS I'll FULLY Mod my VGAs for more......I'll be back soon in 1st place..... :p:

What is actually the better? Two 2900xt's in crossfire or two 8800ultras in SLI?

hipro got 30287 points, but the record is 30606 with ultras right? in my eyes they seem both as good. Still one 8800ultra performs better than one 2900xt. So i dont really get it, someone explain to me please :rolleyes:

Got a few weeks to push CURRENT gen over 31K still so it's on :yepp:.
I lost 2 very good cards benching in vegas from F'd up PSU, so I might switch to GTS if I can't find suitable ULTRAS. The 30.6K score is the highest 780i btw...so keep pushing. KILLER overclocking man.

i think strikerII + gem gts can break 31k easily if CPU>5.7Ghz,
vga> 1200mhz.

of course, vga need hardcore mod.

great to see u guys are pushing so hard, i'm too busy and too lazy to keep up with u :D

At 420x14 fully tweaked with ULTRAS, it will be about 6-700 points faster per clock than 30.6k score on ORB and still on DDR2 :D
