need to know how. what s/ware to install to check for stability, where to download from? 's been long time, so far lefted-behind..got a lot of catching up to do.hehe so far, everything is a-ok. did it all in 1 hour tops. had to jump cmos 2-3 times then had minor complications. i just owe it all to funkflix. thanx dude. i bumped the vcore to 1.375v and used the 11.5 multiplier *262 =3013mhz. is that ok for the time being? temps only go up to 42c when i'm using multiple apps + surfing the net, 37-39c when idle. b4 this temps were only 35c. what do you think tictac?
Press print screen botton on keyboard. Then open microsoft paint. Press contol+V (Paste) then save it. attacth to next post.. ;)
Stability test can use orthos
thanx dear tictac
i see the all made screenshots of cpu-z. what version?
i mean they all posted screenshots of cpu-z. is it another benchmarking tool? and that other one..erm the superpi??
Latest CPUZ Ver 1.44
Get it here : http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_144.zip
Super PI
http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/super_pi_mod-1.5.zip
Orthos:
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...e_20060420.cab
P/S: Kau pakai cpu-z tu untuk tunjuk speed processor kau. Super pi tu untuk test laju mana da processor kau bandingkan dengan sebelum overclock. Orthos tu plak untuk test stable mana ko-nya processor setelah overclock.
orthos 2004 is it? or is there a newer version?
oo..ok thanx
LE only have 1 core..
P/S : Tak kisah je ko-nya processor pun 1core je... mana2 pun bley
select digit of pi to be caculated? how much? default 16k?
downloaded all the benchmarks, did the screenshots, dunno how to attach here coz come-out -->please enter URL of your image?? then the orthos:
1:Self-test 1024K passed! but then 1:Test 1, 800000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M172031 using 8K FFT length.
1:ERROR: ILLEGAL SUMOUT??? gonna go to sleep, got to rest first. cya tictac
my first initial benchmarking
sorry guyz, still learning how crop and resize my screenshots
howd'ya guys post so big and high res pic in xs?? when i try, file's too large than 200kb. when resize, so small to the naked eye. aiya :bloodshot eyes: not enuff sleep
keep the pic resolution to 800x600 and save in JPEG or GIF format....
small FTT 8K not stable that mean you either have to lower your overclock or raise vcore alittle bit until no error. Super pi test 1m calculation
so sad.. i cant see the pic clearly.. try to upload using imageshack..
had to bump a bit from to 1,4v. using the former vcore it was possible to do normal tasks, surf the net, listening to music, etc.
hit a problem when i tried to pay nfs pro street, my pcix needed to squeeze out more voltage from psu. not enuff juice, me think.
makes me wonder how i would do with an x2 dual-core rig coupled with a decent psu.hehe :power hungry now: ekekeke
true to what tictac said earlier, my progress has been limited due to my psu. got to get me a bigger one that can pump my cpu more power:smile:
for the time-being i have a stable system, 262*11.5=3013mhz, 1.4vcore. being able to max out graphics on games like nfs pro street an cnc tiberium wars running at 3.0GHz, only one word :wow:
when i'm gaming, temps are 45C-48C, when idle, temps drop back to 35C-38C. ok for me but still wanting more and more.hehe tried to go for 3.2/3.4/3.5GHz but just could'nt.
btw what does PWM stand for? it has its own temperature reading, but what are the normal or maximum temps? thanx for the info guyz..
hope this works.
PWM stand for power mosfet of your cpu vcore. Make sure the temp no so high because can effect stability of cpu. 60c consider high already. put small fan on top of it. 3ghz ok already for gaming. dont waste money for 200-500mhz improvement. hehe
that PWM fluctuates a bit 50C+ but never 60C.
am i being held back by the psu or do i need a kick ass hsf?
hypertx cpu cooler has its limit to 1800rpm. thermaltake venus 12 can go up to 5500rpm. hmm..hmm decisions..decisions.hehe
i want venture through air-cooling first.
my ht link and ram/dram?? timings are still at default running on auto,
changing them to user define..whats the outcome? pros n cons..
is it risky?
nice rig madfaze. thanks for the tips
