You can try if you're really really careful, really good and steady. Basically, if you look at the picture, the closest vss pin is directly above the vcc pin. It's an lga chip so you'd be working on the motherboard itself. If you can get a thin piece of copper wire (like a single strain from household electrical wire) and tie it into a loop around the associated bsel pin and the vss, you'd be golden. You need to really watch out though and make absolutely sure you don't bridge vss and vcc, or else things will get ugly.
Then again, I've had a cpu that's had vss and vcc bridged for over 40 minutes, severely causing physical damage to the cpu, but it still works!! But ymmv, I probably got real lucky.
Hm that would might work. I guess graphite won't work.
Er i'm pretty sure its bsel2 to VSS to make it L
yikes, you're right. mental error there
I'm positive you have it backwards. You have to connect Bsel2 to VSS.Quote:

If you want to go backwards you have to connect to VSS
Back to my question again, is it possible to do with any silverpen or do it have to be a special one?
i think it is posible with each kind of silverpen.Quote:

I suppose it's possible to remove the "inc" quite easly?

Sounds good to me. I need it to work, I hope "Initialize interrupt controller or initialize multi processor" doesn't mean that my CPU is dead in any way.
My P5N32-E SLI Plus blew a cap last night.

For those who need higher CPU voltage, not available to them in the bios, here is a pin volt mod guide for the Conroe’s.

no pin mod for cache on E6300 ,E6400 2mb to 4mb ??? :stick:

Sorry if this has been posted before. But I have a p5b vanilla. I was thinking of changing my e6400 up to 333 just to establish a higher baseline, but one thing has be wondering. Has anyone done this with a 266 native chip and p5b with new bios? If so, can you verify if 400fsb is still 1066 strap or if it's 1333? Testing with spi or mbench anyone? I'd imagine it'd be 1333 if it's setting 1333 strap with base 333fsb. Is this true also?
So E4300 266 mod is?
this looks perfect for this

has anybody tried it with one of the cheap mobos like the ECS?
I think they already said earlier that it does NOT work with the ECS because it does not support 1333fsb unless you're talking about the 1066. In which case 1066fsb will prob work in the ECS with the e4300.

new bios added support for e4300 but no e0's
thats probably because the VIA chipset cant do 333mhz.
mod it for 266 though and bam that e4300 is a 6600.
maybe "e6500" ;)Quote:

And any news about nios update for Asus P5W64 WS to support FSB 1333?
Not sure about the pd's ability to do the mod, bios on p5w64 ws wont ever be over 200fsb support as it doesn't support conroes.Quote:

Im not 100% sure that would work anyway, so don't hold me to anything.
