Ricky I think some chips don’t like volts, I know my E6600 didn’t boot after 1.8vcore.
I say try r50/1150 blend for the 3rd stage, does r50 run in the gas pipes in your county.

PC Ice got -125C load with 155 watts of load.
yes, i'm thinking on methane, i'v a powerfull 2nd stage i'll try it, 2nd stage is arrownd @ -115ºc load
just watch out with the methane ;), since most PT chart have a logaritmic scale it doesn't seem that bad but when you convert it to linear scale it looks almost like a delta function around >-100*C
R14 will give a much more reliable result.
A while ago I build a cascade with the same rotary's as you now did, when the compression ratio was to high or the suction pressure was too low they would overheat and shut down, not very much fun when it is the high stage compressor that shuts down, I can tell you that :D
when i got some methane we will see :D.
for now, compressor temp after some hours of benching stay close to ambient, that is awsome.
my pressures loaded are:
stage freon low / hi (psi) temp loaded +-
1st propane big vacuum / 95 -62
2nd ethylene big vacuum / 90 -115
3rd ethylene big vaccum / vaccum -115
let's wait for methane and r14 to re-tune

Only problem I would have, quite rightly though, would be my dad probably wouldn't let me use a regulator not designed for a specific gas, (at least in this house!) or an old regulator. If a technitian at BOC said it was perfectly safe, i'd be allowed. HE insisted I got the latest BOC ones for my brazing kit, purely for safety aspects.Quote:

I tried that design before and didn't think about it. It doesn't actually clamp the evaporator lol :). Or is it not finished yet?
