I have a problem, i cant boot windows up to 7*370mhz, over 370fsb wont boot up. I tryed 7*401 but still same problem, i did exactly as told but still nothing.
My PC:
ntel Core 2 Duo E6300, Asus P5B Deluxe, Corsair DDR2 XMS2-6400 800MHz 2*1024MB, Club 3D ATi Radeon X800XL 256MB, Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB, FSP Group EPSILON 700W

When you raise the FSB frequency, sometimes you need to increase the termination voltage to increase stability. Some users avoid the maximum setting (1.45) because they found they can get higher FSB with 1.4v.
I have successfully overclocked my e6600 processor with this motherboard (p5b Deluxe wifi/ap) to 3.2 ghz.
I got this by buying a scythe infinity fan with some artic silver thermal paste. I then did some research (since this is my first overclock) and found these settings for the bios.
Advanced -> JumperFree Conf.:
AI Tuning - Manual
CPU Freq. - 356 (which will give you 3.2 ghz)
DRAM Freq. - AUTO
PCI-E Freq. - 100
PCI Clock - 33.33 MHz
Spread Spectrum - Disabled
Memory Voltage - 2.10V
CPU Vcore - 1.36 (I got lots of conflicting opinions on this option. Some people had it as high as 1.45
(all other settings on this page - Auto)
There are settings for Northbridge voltage and southbridge voltage that I leave to auto.
Advanced -> CPU Conf.:
Modify Ratio - DISABLED
C1E - DISABLED
Max CPUID - Disabled
Vanderpool - Enabled
CPU TM - DISABLED
Execute Disable - DISABLED
PECI - Disabled
I have 2 gigs of pc6400 corsair 5-5-5-12 memory running at auto (5-6-6-18).
I am running steady at these settings. Can anyone tell me what the exact settings are needed for 3.4 and 3.6 Ghz. I had it somewhat steady at 3.5 Ghz by just increasing the cpu freq
and the vcore voltage but always ran into problems rebooting.
I have the e6600, p5b deluxe(with updated bios 711), corsair pc6400, however with set to auto it reads currently at 5-6-6-18. scythe infinity
Don't run DRAM Frequency on Auto. Set it to 1:1. This would be the first option on the drop-down menu. If FSB Frequency is 356, it should say DDR2-712.

i tested when lostcircuits said about cpu temp with different FSB termination voltage and there is no difference in cpu temps on my system

I am having problems with the multiplier.
When i run, Orthos or Prime95, superpi (any other stress programme), the multiplier lowers to 6x (E6300 = 7x).
Therefore, i get a score of 19sec @1M.
I have turned EIST of. Even if i set the ratio maunally to 7x it still lowers to 6x .
I am sure that there are more ppl who havent discovered this.
I am having also this problem:
Try this out byurselve,
open cpuz and crystal cpuid.
Select cpu1/2, see multipliers at both, they must be the same, refresh (f5)the screen (of crystal), then I (you) see that the multiplier drops.
Now select core 2/2. REfresh (f5), now i see that the multiplier keeps 7x.

thus, core1 is @idle mode 6x and core 2 7x?
Now do this again with orthos (or any other stress), then u shall see that multiplier drops (to 6x) .

i have too, but i still see in CPUID that it is active ( check with everest or crystal).

When running Orthos or SP2004, you should set the Priority to 9. As to why 9, read this thread.
Also, you need to run Orthos for more than six minutes.;) At least do a couple of hours. 6-8 is even better.

Also keep in mind that voltage numbers quoted by Intel do not refer to your bios settings. For example, Intel says VCore should be no more than 1.55v. But you can set 1.55v in bios and actual board voltage, measured with a DMM, may be only 1.5 due to voltage droop.
Intel's voltage figures are just guidelines. Don't you think it rather odd that Intel says no more than 1.55 for core voltage, and yet some of the boards they sell like the Bad Axe have VCore higher than that in the bios.
