weird thing about having to flash it from windows, the 0005 bios did the same thing to me, the intel bootrom when flashed from the bios, did not work correctly, flash from windows, and works fine, weird.
You can pick them up under $470 AUDQuote:

I'm still considering one of these as replacement for my p5w dh

I can make it to windows with mem @ lower divider @ 333FSB, but yeah...really stressing the nb.
You won't get really high FSB with Kentsfield on this board. But you should be able to run at least 350FSB with no problem. The P5B Dlx is the best board for Kentsfield if you want to run 400+ FSB.

Ahh, but I need my PCI-X slots and my Crossfire..:PQuote:

No, if you set the multi above your max it defaults to max on bootQuote:

Betas sometimes make a board goes beserk. If you want to run beta (its a good idea to) get a spare bios chip (from Asus) first.Quote:

This was done with the P5WDG2. My Kentsfield has been passed on to someone else.

Asus will probably have an updated bios this week. I'll be on the lookout for it!
Off topic: anyone notice the horrible download rates off Asus's website?
Where it can be unloaded the bios 0614. for the Asus P5WDG2-WS Pro?Quote:

idle temp is around 55-58C
So what is the preferred BIOS now? 0005 or 0408?
And what are the main differences, if any between the 2...
0408 better at FSB scaling, also if it fails boot you don't need to clear cmos.Quote:
