so everyone is focusing on the HZ's but the thread started out with the HZ's and ZX's yet no one is talking abotu the ZX's

mine unfortunately wont even do 975 5-5-5- no matter what voltage.

unfortuante but still worth the price.

too bad they wont boot with te gigabyte DS3.

gotta do a bit of ram swapping to make them work. pretty crappy on gskills part if you ask me to not allow them to bot with anything under 2.2v
my kit wont boot at under 2.2v.

No probs for pair #1 to complete 32M at 490mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v, that's 12mhz higher than with other badaxe/700W OCZ GameXStream system at same timings and vdimm!

the thread was made about gskills micron based memory which is only the HZ's thats why everyone is talking about them.

The gskill tech stated earlier that the HZ's are the overclockers choise, and the rest are the more value type ram, thats why they dont scale as well.

Very, very unlikely. What 965P board is that? Any more details, screenshots and results? If that was CAS4.0, which probably REALLY is, then it can be done.

Ooops, double post... Anyway, a buddy of mine from overseas asked me to help him buy a set of 2GBHZ. So I got him one and that means, at the same time I get to play with a second set of HZ :) Results from the 1st one are in my older thread here. But in short, @ 2.5vdimm I got it fully stable at DDR2-890 8-3-3-3.0 and DDR2-1140 8-4-4-4.0. So, let's see how this 2nd set did...

I could only spend about 6hrs to mess around with it but that gave me an idea of where this one maxes out. It's a "0605" set, as opposed to my previous, which was "0605". Anyway, there you go:

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe (nForce570 SLI), BIOS 0304
AMD AM2 Athlon 3200+ "Orleans"
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro

I'm sorry but I did not have enough time to run SP2004 at CAS3 setting. But I'm pretty sure it would pass with no problem. In conclusion though, from the above result, it looks like the 2nd set is only slightly weaker than the one I played with earlier. Plus, comparing other results from this thread and around XB section, those 64002GBHZs seem to be consistently hitting DDR2-1000 8-4-4-4.0 easy, provided enough voltage is supplied. Not bad, eh? :)

after reading this thread, I ran to my local shop who carries G.Skill
and I peek at the S/N before paying for it and it was totally different
it wasn't 06060XXX sequence
it had no 0 at the begining and starts with 6
it was 629xxx i think
I didn't buy it...
what is that?

they changed from month (606 = 6th month 2006) to week (629 = 29th week of the year 2006)

So do I have to look at the numbers on the sticks? Because I just ordered the 239.99 stuff from newegg. I was looking at it and this thread was the clencher than I saw how old it was! :eek: Sounds like, the last post from Gskill man was pretty recent.
