thanks don.ks, that makes me feel a whole lot better.... i wanna OC a E6300 as much as possible on air (would get a E6600 but then i would have to get like a 1800GTO instead of a X1900XT :() Anyone kno when these boards will be available (mostly at newegg)?
ill be keeping a very close eye on this thread :). ive got a pentium D coming that only cost me 100$, so im gonna use that temporarily, then sell it to my bro, but i dont want to have to buy/switch 2 mobo's, so im waiting till i have a for sure conroe board, until then, stupid pentium 4 2.4C.
[H] says the DFI CFX1150/G will be matx, buts it is listed as ATX here.
Who guessed right?
I hope [H] is right, cause right now there is shit for Conroe support in the matx area.

Anyone have a more detailed picture album of the wall of motherboards? Some interesting matx/mbtx looking boards whoms names I do not know...

Am I right in getting a mobo with an Intel chipset?
The last four mobo's I've had have all had a lot of quirks, and they where all based on NVIDIA (god I hate their GPU drivers) and ATI.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but OC'ing with these boards have not been pleasant at all (my PSU's have all been very stable).
yes, for sure! best configuration is Intel CPU + Intel Chipset. and the 975 is fully stable, so you're no "beta" tester ;)Quote:
