no I wouldn't, but 3x vs 4x isn't that big of difference and 5x vs 4x isn't that big of a difference.

According to my calculator it is 400Mhz...any which way u look at it. AMD did not design a chip to communicate on an HT of 1000 Mhs just for my blue eyes!Quote:

who cares? HT multis are only a hassle to remember to change when ocing
I think my next mem will be VX. Only one prob. My old Enermax 430W doesn't allow 3.3V rail increase so I'll pray for the new mobo to do it well from the 5v rail. If not, then I'll check for a guide to mod the psu and if can't (it would be my first attempt with a vmod) I'll get a booster.Quote:

I just got my DFI SLI-DR.
Solid board, Nice and thick heavyduty PCB:)
I have things to do today but I want to hook the board up to my Cascade tonight first thing.
My Question is, which one of these caps do I solder to for the 3.3V mem mod? I want it done before I fire up the board.
Thanks.
OPP
From the bottom of top slot to the top of the bottom slot is 1 1/4"Quote:

OPP, no voltmod needed. Just leave the board on 3.3V and crank up the 3.3V line, or give the board a go with the 5V jumper but make sure you cool the top right of the board.Quote:

NO really! I'm envious as I really want to use that DFI too. I am really drooling over the DFI and some OCZ VX.
OPP,
Seems it's not documented in the pdf manual, here is where that 3.3 to 5 volts bridge is, lower right red circle:

Wow, the situation seems to be getting better and better each day although the boards themselves are not yet available in retail :banana:Quote:

Wow, I guess you just move the Jumper over for the 5V?Quote:

WOW! BH-5 still the bomb after all these years.
In real world tests that BH-5 you have running right there will destroy any TCCD. A64 prefers LL over bandwidth except in silly synthetics like sisuck.
As I show here:http://forums.anandtech.com/messagev...readid=1475190
Course both is ideal. But I'd take LL over bandwidth anyday.
Yip, so it seems. Sadly I don't have a board to confirm 100%, so send me your's and I'll reconfirm...lolQuote:

Yes If you plan on getting the DFI 939 board and you have an ATI card be prepared to Change the Chipset heatsink:D
They should have sent this board a month ago :ROTF:
I can't believe they never tryed to sick an ATI card in:D
OPP
You're supposed to use two nvidia cards:D...but that's good to know..XTPE I presume.

Rats , I like this magnetic levitation fan...rats....anyway to pound it down..try 3 pounder sledge hammer after all it's only a 6 layers mobo, never know what the 5 pounder will do.Quote:

On a more serious note however OPP, if one was to use a dremell and chip away the contour of the cooler to the max possible, would it fit then?
Crap now I need to find a chipset cooler...crap !
@OPP:
what are the clearances between the two sli slots? i'm trying to plan out a gpu watercooling setup and need to know if a block with 19mm profile would be able to comfortably fit between the 2 cards. given clearance with stuff from the back of the other card, i'm hoping there's at least 25mm between the 2 slots.
what are the clearances for around the chipset with respect to the graphics card, would a waterblock fit in any orientation underneath installed gfx cards?
Think I heard it was 1.625" spacing on the x16 slots.
OPP... what voltages are you running on your X800 gpu/mem?
