I have only seen info on the Aopen board and a little bit on the ECS, is there any real info on the dfi board? or do we just know that one may exist?

I've checked the demo system in Akiba, and confirmed that
the AOpen i975 board has FSB setting 200 - 255 in the BIOS.

What if you pin mod it to boot up at 266 MHz?
Have you tried that with your MSI Speedster? Edit: Since it's a 945GT it's not supported, at least not official. Thought it was just like the other 945 chipsets. Worth a try though, try 200 MHz too.
Another reason for getting a 975 board instead, they are supposed to work with 266 MHz.

Can someone please enlighten me as to how these extremely low superpi calculations will equate to performance in apps, such as boot-up time, web browsing, MS Outlook?

I know enough about how overclocking effects 3D gaming and benchmarks but this Yonah stuff may convince me to build a workstation for daily use. Am I better off waiting for these Yonah mobos or just get a Dothan setup?

Yonah for sure!! Dothan is like a Single A64, and Yonah will be like a DC A64 if you used both before?

I assume it's safe to say that any of the Yonah chips overclocked will be fantastic in a workstation. Yonah, Merom, Conroe...my head spins all day long figuring out how I can use these chips without blowing wads of cash.

is it really going to be that expensive, or will it be cheaper in the US? That makes it more expensive than the GIgabyte Quad SLI board on Newegg :confused: .... and the most expensive Intel board on Newegg (according to search)

Vdimm: ISL6537
...at least, on a sample board existing in Akiba.
ISL6262 is used for MSI 945GT Speedster Plus, and I already modded it:)
So I believe that AOpen's mb can be also modified as same as MSI's.

Yeah, as you say, I also can't get the datasheet of ISL6262.
On MSI's mb, there are at least 2 patterns which are connected
from Vcore to ISL6262, I found.
Modifying one of two gives Vcore increase, so another one is
related to Vdroop, I expect.
