Hi,
does anyone have tryed a 65nm CPU such as E6600/E6700 on T3RSB PLUS? My E6700 doesn't boot up to 410MHz bus...
Nice FSB again !
I think, you've got the memory modules which can do it
May i ask you about your Dram/VTT voltages and GTLs settings ?
This is the max FSB i got on air

@Drix: You need to test a lot of different combinations. Every Board is so different. For me the settings from angoholic won't work out.
I'm at 630Mhz Spi stable right now, waiting on my LN2... Validation was somewhere around 645.
A lot of work, finding out the right settings:

Hi,
I up my previous post and add several details: with the previous memory kit (takems ddr3 2x2gb) my cpu ran at 3,6ghz (400x9) @ 1.43125V BIOS voltage. It was stable, with a memory stick; because of one of this stick was bugged, the company will send another kit, and in the meantime I'm testing a gskill 1600mhz 2GB kit. With this kit at startup BIOS says "oc failed!". Why? Ram are for now underclocked (a few) and the cpu is OCed as it was before with the other memory kit.
Maybe I have to set RAM skew on my T3RSB PLUS?
What do you suggest to do? Thanks a lot in advance! :)
Is the T3RSB good for 600MHz FSB++ too? And is the efficiency on the same level as the DDR2 boards?:)
It makes me wonder too...
@mpc, yes you' re right. I know I have to find my own settings by myself, It depends on a lot of things... And as you probably already know, I've already tried lot of combinations untill now :)
I noticed that you've got a good precise method, maybe you will contribute to my inspiration, thanks :)
and sorry for my bad english
Little Update with mods etc on page one! :)
No, i worked with Corsair Dominator PC8500. But i've sold the board a long time ago. Now i use a core i7 ;)
Well i know your "sold" story. Good choice having an i7 system :)
Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC6400 2*1 GB BL12864AL804.16FD3 (double sided leds)
I use that sticks and haven't seen on your list yet.

Anyone use CellShocks 1000 MHz (Black) on DFi DK P45 T2RS Plus?
mpc, ever tried your CellShocks on DFi, bro?
Hi all, wich RAM skews do you suggest for a diablo ddr3 2ghz kit? In particular they have micron d2gtr chip...
Other questions: according to you, wich are the best motherboard voltages for B2 65nm cpu?
which bios choose for DFI LP DK P45-T2RS Plus?
which one is the best bios for him?
for overclock&stability :)
Someone recommend this board for Overclocking and for day-to-day?
I would use it only for overclocking :)

can't do it with much less voltages, but i'll try again, there is always something to mess with in the bios:)
i would be glad if i could rise some voltages but this DK does not like that. one or two steps too much and no more going :( hope you can get higher with less voltages :)
You rocks guys :)
With mine, i can't put more than 1.40v to the NB cause it will reboot in loop
I think the chipset is hot, under 55°C when loading @600

No suggestions for me? :/
Hi guys,
I'm a little late to the game but I'm getting ready to upgrade my old 975X system to a P45. I'm having a hard time choosing between the T2RS Plus and the Gigabyte UD3P. I've heard so many good things about the UD3P but I hate the color scheme and the board layout. I really like DFI's reputation in the OCing community and I love their board design / layout. If I get my hands on a T2RS Plus with the A3 rev. chipset, which board would you guys recommend for a stable, 24/7 operation with a mild OC (E6600 @ 3.4-3.6GHz on air)? Again I've heard nothing but praise for the UD3 series and it's hard to ignore, but I'm wondering if anyone can give me some good insight into a decision. Does the DFI board use high quality caps/components and give equally good power delivery?
Thanks in advance! :)
my board died while at 650mhz:( stuck on c1 nomatter what i do
New bios dated 29/12/2008 D45PDC29 for DFI LP DK P45 T2RS+. Link

Major Reasons of Change:
The BIOS enhanced the 16GB memory compatibility issue.
Haven't tried yet. I noticed it today, I'll test it soon.
it's not dead  turn it off, remove both RAMs and start without them. Turn it off again but no CMOS Reset or something like that.
Then try only one module in another slot (if you use the yellow ones, try the orange) and start the board.
If you have other memory modules with different spd it will be easier, just remove battery and start with one module of the other RAM, load defaults and turn it off. Then you can change modules back again and go on with OC
thanx angoholic but i've done all that. it's c1 always, with ram or no ram, i got 3 pairs of dimms that i've tried in all slots, it always stays in c1:mad:
Hi i have been fighting this problem for weeks does anyone have any info or ideas? I cannot get this to run @ 16x for benches please understand that 24/7 stable is not what i am looking for if i get the save/screen shot before it dies i am happy:) Its a real shame as for 2d benches this board is the nut's but 3d just so hard to get 16x pci-e. Any help would be good as i have little hair/patience left:rofl: All this is with no overclock on pci-e and multiple cards starting to lose my mind:shocked:
^^^let's hope the replacement is as good if not better, i got to beat that monster fsb of yours:D
Don't know if it could help you but once i had this problem with the Graphic Interface which linked in x2. After had dismantling the pieces and rebuilting the rig, It disappeard. fortunately...
I just got a 1M running @ 625MHz with boot-up at 615 :)
I need to find the right GTLs settings for increasing my Vnb
But this Bios is crazy, i've got a head pain :D
http://images0.hiboox.com/images/110...8ef7c45f86.bmp
And what a pity for you, Nikk. Hope we will see you again playing on a DFI board
Last week a FET near the NB died so I have to wait for a week or few more days to get the board back from a friend...
damn-it ! That's a black serial^^
i must be careful with mine :D
It's not as bad, we should have enough Alpha&Omega D452 for that game ;)
I have had same issue but solved. Your mobo is probably alive.
This mobo sucks on 3D tests. I have EVGA 9800GX2 and if i OC my CPU, can't boot. But with VGAs like HD2600XT or olders, it works at Q9650/4.7+ GHz or E8600/5+ GHz... Another possibility: i am a stupid guy.
I can only say: Play with it, mine was stuck some hours at C1 but i could also solve that problem, normally if it would be dead it would hang at 88 that means not counting up but rather displays all digits but maybe TheGanG has an advice for you :)
Boot @ 656MHz FSB
(Did not want to upload it first because of the strange number..660 sounds better :D but as you already know the board still gets repaired so i have to wait :( )
it's already sent for rma, replacement should be here tomorrow:p:
i've had it for a week trying to revive it, how long am i supposed to wait lol
Can anyone help me please? :(
I have just bought an E8400 stepping E0 but it won't overclock: who can post every setting in bios to get it stable at 500x8? Thanks in advance; I hope in your help!! :):)
P.S.: the motherboard model is DFI DK P45-T3RSB PLUS
I got C1s and 88s too. It works 1-2 dayz later, nothing else. Oh i also changed dimm slots hundret times > so it comes back to life. Clear-CMOS may set extremely low VDimm, so our dimms may not want to boot again, just an idea...
I use my BlackOps + E8600/5.6+GHz for 3D benching. BlackOps hasn't high FSB with regular Quads. It's suitable and tuned for QXs with 10-15 multi, rock solid.
Shame, Q9650 can get 3D benchs on DFi at 4.7+ GHz but GX2 doesn't work.
Hello,
I have just tried:
vtt 1,35V (1,37v effective)
CPU GTL 0,63
NV GTL 0,61
FSB Vref 2A
Vcore 1,35V
NB 1,4V
Clockgen 3,75
CPU Clock 0 skew 200ps
CPU Clock 1 skew 100ps
DRAM Timing: my default (8-8-8-24 @ 1,5V); Enhace data transmitting: Normal ; T2 Dispatch: Disabled ; Flex Memory Mode: Disabled
With these settings the motherboard boots up correctly at 450x6 and a SuperPI 1M is correctly executed.
But if I try 470x6, error at POST and the only chance is to reset. What a trouble!
up :(

Can I conclude that this board cannot run with a high ram load and with an overclocked Quad Core installed?
It can do FSB515 stable with 333er Strap and more than 1:1 divider with a quad :)
And that's with 2x1024MB , 4x1024MB or 2x2048MB of ram?
2x2GB, every DK should be able at least to push a Quad to FSB500 stable @ air. Some people reported that it does not care if 4x1 or 2x2 if you need 4GB with that board.
I was also in the understanding that this board just had to do high FSB/CPU Clock with a quad and 4Gigs of ram. :)
Just tested with a pair of 2x2048MB OCZ XTC Platinum that I could borrow from a friend... and as we speak i'm running 8.5x500 1:1. So that's definately an improvement.
So from my experience it does matter whether one uses 4x1024MB or 2x2048 with this board.
I'll be getting myself a new pair of 2x2048 then. Glad to see it runs fine
I don't know about what it will do with a quad, but my UT-P45 does 500x10 on the 5:6 divider ram at 600fsb and 563x8.5 at 1:1. That's with 4x1024 OCZ PC9600 Flex.
That's with a E8600 right? For me running 4x1024MB with a E8600 on my DK P45 is no problem at all.
It's only when I switched to a quad the problems began.
Lets start where i stopped with the other board :D
FSB660 Boot for SPI
Is there a known V-mod for this Board? I can only find the Vdroop mod and the readpoints.
Got it:
Maybe you can put it into the First Post:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=200625
I've been tweaking it for over a week, every evening at it for 3 to 4 hours. upping vTT, changing GTL's and raising vNB. Nothing helps
Both my E8600 and Q9650 ( with are both real nice sepping) run at 500MHz and with 5:6 dvider for the ram.
So the FSB is not the problem, with 2x2048MB the board+quad does 500Mhz. I think the fact that all 4 slots are populated causes too much stress for this board. It just can't handle it with a power hungry quad installed. Also, the VRM temps are off the charts during a Linpack session
Right now I'm back at using 2x1024MB. Ordered me a kit of 2x2048 OCZ Flex 1150 which arives next week. Next month I'll be swichting to a Gigabyte EP45-Extreme. I see that board runs Quads with 4GB or bigger load much easier. I know my quad stepping has a lot of potential in it but I'm just not getting there on this DK P45.
Also, i'm missing more elaborate CPU-, NB-GTL and skew settings on this board, which clearly needs to be fine tuned for high quad clocks
I was very disappointed with Gigabyte. I had EP45-DS4 and 2 days ago i tried EP45-UD3L and it wasn't close in OC to my DK 45TRS+. Honestly, i haven't the quad but with DFI i go my E8400 to 4.5gHz easy with only 1.34V, Prime 24H stable. With that crappy boards i can't to do it. No matter what VTT, VNB, VCore i set. I'm not sure about EP45-UD3P or Extreme, maybe it's better boards.. BTW, not find GTL's in Gigabyte settings.Quote:
Next month I'll be swichting to a Gigabyte EP45-Extreme
670 MHz but not the common way with SetFSB and Validation...Nooooo
Bootup 670MHz :D:rofl:
very nice angoholic:cool: same board?
i got replacement for my dead plus, but they couldn't find me another plus so they gave me a 'turbo' one, which is a plain t2rs, it even has A2 chipset:mad:
i'll report what it does once i find time to test it
no other board ;) but PCB Rev A2 the other is A3..tested the whole night
I think you may be very dissapointed with the Giga. I've just built a rig for a friend using the EP45-Extreme, and i can tell you that it will not get my 4 sticks to 563 fsb 1:1. The highest i could get them was 542 fsb.
If you really want and need the full control over the CPU, NB_GTL and Skew settings, then you should seriously look at the DFI UT P45 T2RS. A fantastic board, once you understand it. Plus ALL the control you can want.
I'll be running with 2x 2048MB on the EP45-Extreme , not with 4x1024Mb. So that's one problem less for me ;)
If you take a look in the EP45-Xtreme and EP45-UD3 topics, you'll see that people achieve amazing speeds with their quads with these boards.
And that's my point. The DK P45 is fine for dualcore procs , but fails short with quadcore cpu's. I agree that with the DFI boards you'll achieve maximum fsb's, but than again, quads will never do 650fsb like their dualcore brethren, so if the Gigabytes have al lower maximum fsb that isn't too bad, as long as one is using a quad core that is.
But thanks for the headsup on the UT P45. i'll look into it. It's a serious candidate for my upgrade :)
Perhaps it will be a UT P45-T2RS after all.:) been doing some reading about the EP45-Extreme and as it turns out, it has two rather important flaws imho. One, it has no Loadline Calibration Control which gives a huge vdrop and vdroop. The other flaw is on the backside of the board. near the CPU socket holes, there're some smd components sticking out, which can pose somesort of a problem when one uses a Thermalright backplate, which I happen to use.
Plus, I can get the UT P45-T2RS for 150 euro's
What's the best 24/7 bios here to use with the DK P45 T2RS PLUS ? I'm topping out at 570FSB Hyperpi stable 32mb... anything higher and I get rounding errors etc... Tried a zillion of combinations already (voltage, GTL's Skews), running out of ideas :)
Thx lads
I like that mobo, it works good with Quads and Core2 Duos ;)

http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/2759/8300h.jpg
Impressive as always
And this kind of validation is funny :D FSB 680 boot soon ?
I'm planning to buy this board, but still confused between the plain, plus and turbo (T2RS series) .... what are the differences?
I'm planning to pair it with 9400, can you give estimate for how far this combo will oc using stock cooler? I know I should buy an aftermarket cooler but if it won't help much then I can save some bucks.
btw, I have read and do I really have no hope in pairing this motherboard with 4 sticks of RAM? at all? so I can't use 4x2GB RAM then?
Just a an update. I switched from my DFI DK P45 T2RS Plus to a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P... where my Quad would give up at running 4275Mhz stable with a 4GB load, I now run 4430MHz stable (9x492 5:6) That's with 2x2GB OCZ Flex2 PC9200 @ 1180-5-5-5-18 @ 2.13v
I'm convinced that due to the fact the EP45-UD3P board has superior PCB layer and VRM Design, it can run Quads al lot higher than the DK T2RS and with more ease and can cope better with heavy ram loads.
Also tuning the voltages and GTL settings is a LOT easier on the UDP3 than on the T2RS.
So people with Quads, you might want to try the EP45-UD3P. Just wanted to share some info :)

On the P45-T2RS (none Plus) is the 1.18 vNB normal? I can't really test this out because it's my uncle's board and he lives 3000 miles away. My uncle never got pass installation after he reset the BIOS. This would BSOD during XP or crash on Vista/7.
Hi all,
I'm blocked at 585x6 Pi32M stable, i can't get it at 600x6 with my e8400

Hi
Can Any1 Give Me GTL Setting For Quad Too Got Over 500 MHZ FSB
I Can Try But Dont Be Stable Over 500Mhz.... Just For Few Second And Then Crash Win
Seems This Tread Get In The Hell:D
Not Any1 For Helpppppp Guyssssssss
They are different for each separate board even with the same CPU on it, so start trying it :)
First post here btw, hi guys!
Few weeks ago i bought a E8600 Q822A435 and DFI lanparty DK P45 T2RS+ to see what its all capable off doing,
The DFI was a motherboard i needed to play with for a while to find all the sweet spots, and im sure i didnt discover half of all the settings yet.
Literally scared the :banana::banana::banana: out of me when i found out of that Memory settings tab that was hidden, my god!
Anyhow, Receiving a set of D9's next week, so hoping to do some proper FSB testing then, in preparation of starting with Dry ice :) !
Also, think it has more potential, but need to lap my Ultra Extreme 120, temps are getting to high im affraid. ;)

Validation
Hi ViViD, 10x500 was fairly stable indeed. rebooted it after 5minutes or so, to try a bit higher Vcore for SuperPi 5Ghz. but couldnt really get it to work somehow, ill invest some more time in it shortly.
Cooler was a Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120, with a Push&Pull Ultra Kaze 3000RPM, and a outtake Ultra kaze 3000RPM right behind it.
Going to lap it soon, the base is filled with groves and such, my guess is that there is poor contact between the ihs & cooler base.
Had 5100Mhz on 1,45Vcore but bsod'd right before i wanted to take a screenshot, needs a bit more voltage i guess ;)
//edit
fiddled around some more tonight, and with a tip of someone els i just threw the vcore on 1,35 / 1,36 in bios, same as cpu-z actually.
and got away with 4900Mhz SuperPi stable, very satisfied with it. Cant wait to try it with dryice or LN2!
Great FSB angoholic
R U Use Stock Cooling For NB?
Greetings!
Guys, I have the T2RS Plus and I have some trouble with the temperatures on the NB.
The ambient temperature is 27.6C and the NB's temperature idles @ about 52-53C going up to a dangerous 61-62C when I'm gaming...nothing fancy.
Should I change the NB cooling? Maybe a Thermalright HR-05 IFX SLI + 2 x HR-09 for the PWM? (i think they will fit)
These are my specs :

i've got new cpu today - Pentium dualcore E6300 - 2,8GHz(10.5*266)
when i overclock with T2RS Plus - it's had something wrong
when i set FSB > 300 in bios - boot good - but in win - cpuz alway get 300 - and setFSB doesn't work anymore
EX: in bios - set FSB: 325 - boot okie
in win - it's alway get 300 - FSB :banana::banana::banana::banana: happen
then i try again
in bios - set FSB 350 - boot okie
in win - get 300 again - FSB still bs
and set it again
in bios - set FSB: 290 - boot okie
in win - get 300:shrug:
so wtf ???
need new bios ???
Hmh, did some testing & all. after i received my Team Xtreem double sided d9's i've so far came up with 595FSB, booting @ 590FSB.
Using 1.29VTT, 1.42NB & 1.32 +- Vcore. But somehow my system wont boot above 1.3VTT , and i have no clue why.
Sure, im on air, but 1.30VTT doesnt seem THAT much, or is it?
Using 200 core#0 and 100 core#1 skew, 3-3-1 @ adv. mem settings tab.
Perhaps anyone has a clue? due to the fact i think i need it in order to get 600FSB+ ^_^
Thanks!
Yoh guys,
tomorrow I will get my Q9650 for the DFI DK P45 T2RS Plus.:D
I am planing to run my system with a fsb of 450 Mhz or higher. Thatīs why I decide to set all three jumpers of the cpu fsb select from the pins 1 and 2 to the pins 3 and 4.
I will do that before I install the Thermalright IFX-14 because otherwise I wonīt have any room left to set the cpu fsb jumpers.
Is it o.k. to set the jumpers on the pins 3 and 4 before I havenīt even started up my system?
I don't think that you have to set these jumpers,
because i left it on 'CPU selection' on my board and there are no problem for clocking
@ Thijs > Did you try strap 400 ?
Mine Board Working In Auto CPU FSB Jumpers
Not Any Problem In 1 & 2 Jumper
Sorry What's Work Of Strap??? Can I Use For My Quad For Hich Max FSB?
400/800 yeah, regular 1:1 fsb/dram.
Just fails to boot with 1.30VTT , oddly enough..
Although i think it might be due to the other ram,
cant recall having that issue with my other ram,
but if i use those, i cant get to 600FSB :P
It's a set of Team Xtreem 2x1GB DDR2 800 TXDD2048M800HC4DC
@ cl 4-4-4-10 @ 2.1-2.2V , builddate jan 08.
I can't really tell you for a quad, you have to try ;)
but I would use 400 strap for hitting 600 MHz FSB with my C2D, It gives me more stability than 333 strap :)
Roughly; higher the strap, more relaxed are the chipset's timings...
But i prefer give you a thread which explains this well > http://www.thetechrepository.com/showthread.php?p=32
@Thijs: Hard to say. Maybe i would try to relax some 'timings' settings like enh. address/transmit. besides a higher tRD , sub's timings ... etc
ps: Sorry for my bad english :p:
VTT 1,3V is too much for 600MHz FSB. It seems that you did not get it :D Every VTT needs separate CPU GTLs and maybe a VRef as well.
This 615@prime were with 1,25V VTT. Of course every CPU and Board (even with same CPU) needs other combinations, but highest should be 1,28V with right GTLs. You could also try higher ones but that makes absolutely nonsense if you want to push FSB harder, e.g. if you use 1,4V for 600, then what would it be for 650? ;) You get me?
you're explaining this really well and it seems that you owned me
So i completely agree with the fact that there are relationships between Vtt,Vnb and GTLs, it's not just so easy tuning them well :p:
