I know I need to ditch the slow ram so any recommendations? I don't want to break the bank to put out for ram alone!
I got the cpu prime stable for 12 hours @ 2800 @ 1.5275 (bios) but cpuz shows drops down to 1.488 (!). MB needs vdroop mod bad here.
Will continue pushing the FSB and see how far I can get first.
My P-M 730 is getting a better overclocker over time.
I have it 24/7 at 1.6v running boinc and in the begining it was stable at 216x12, now is stable at 220x12 :D
I guess is some kind of burn-in :)

Weird! This is with default voltage.. Upping the voltage doesn't seem to help...
Hi,well finaly i buy p4c800e-deluxe for 730.(i think so :( )Now the problem is that serial numbers on motherboard and box are different and also on motherboard doesnt write e-delux only p4c800 rev.2.00a.I have never have intel boards,so what are the visual difference betwene e-deluxe and deluxe so i can change the board if they :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: me?
On the board itself it says P4C800-E, athleast on my P4C800E-Deluxe

Did you have the p4p800se before? I would be interested to see what you get in 3d01 now. I am under the assumption that the p4c800 will give you about 2000 points in 3d01. Am I wrong?

Try to burn in your cpu @ 255 FSB with the LOWEST POSSIBLE VOLTAGE for Prime stability.
I can get my cpu up to 2900 (11x263) in windows @ 1.54 CPUZ, Bios says 1.6 volts now but it is not prime stable. Need better cooling or I'm at the limit on stock heatsink.
Before, I would never get past 257 FSB x 11.
Prime it for a few hours, keep the same voltage and clock it up or lower the voltage and prime again. Burn in really works on these cpus.
Yeah I can get it to do it at 1.4V - used to need 1.4875V...
but a single Mhz more, no matter the multi or dram clock it'll freeze.
Could my cpu core being crushed on the corners have anything to do with this?
Temps are 29C idle, 44C load using the Zalman+120mm delta

I think the new SI-120 and the 7000,s hardware might work.I have a xp-120 and the base gets in the way.
oj sharp, non -e version is missing 3 mossfets, 3rd down left from the socket, middle on up of the socket and top mosfet right of the socket. -e version has all mosfets. I have both motherboard here, if you want picture, i can send it.
there is even a topic in MB mods, someone wanted to solder on missing mosfets.
I have a question regardint P4C800-e deluxe MB. Is PAT allways enabled, is there possibility to disable it? There was a man here who said he tested MB with and without PAT enabled.

As posted before, I'm very pleased with my 730 Dothan/CT479/P4C800DLX (non -e) setup but something has been puzzling me:
The system is happy at 2.75GHz, 250x11 with the RAM at 1:1. The issue is that I get higher benchmark scores when I boot at this speed than I do when I boot at 201x12 and EIST/Clockgen to 250x11. The difference is about 400 points in Sandra's CPU benchmark (10800 compared to 10400). The difference is also present in SuperPi.
What is causing the discrepancy, is it safe to boot at this speed or should I boot at 201 and EIST/clockgen? Any ideas?

You loose approx 300mb bandwidth when booting at 201 compaired to 200FSB as reported by other members. In your case it's a little more. Dont know why :shrug:
Try booting at 200FSB as others have been able to maintain performance this way although using clockgen. Dont know exactly if you loose the locks this way, but try it out.
But, if your system seems happy when booting at 250 I'd just keep it that way. Thats a nice 24/7 setting.
Although, you might be able to go further in 1M using clockgen so there might be a few ms to gain from that method...
