SATA or SATAII i thought the layout of the drives and harddrives made no difference as you change it all around in the bios.
Yeah I agree, I thought nowadays with all of these new boards, I wouldn't have to go about changing what drives are attached to what sata ports.:down:Quote:

WOW, thanks a million. Well tried AHCI again now (as I didn't notice much difference first time I tried months ago) but all problems are gone with AHCI. I know some sites say its a small bit slower, but some also say its faster... In my case i can now transfer from optical drive and access hdd's all at once and no stuttering or weirdness like with IDE.Quote:

Simply opened .reg file from that site you gave me and installed latest beta intel matrix drivers for Win 7 from http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driv...rmation/11963/
A few reboots later and everything working fine as far as I can tell. Thanks again.
