Received mine over an hour ago. Too bad I have to go to work, I got L623A738. However before I put it in I need to apply AS5 to my NB and SB and mount 40mm fans, put the support bracket for the TTBT on, then AS5 CPU and attach the TTBT. I will be daydreaming all day at work :)

Yep, happens to me on occasion.

I know that right after you enter your CC information at the egg on the very next screen you can sometimes see the expected delivery date. This is on the page that says "Please verify your order below. To complete your order click "Sumbit order" at the bottom of the page."

When I see it says "Once shipped your order is project to be delivered in 1 business day" I know I'm golden.

Cool thing is, you can see this before having finalized the order.

Assuming availability in a specific warehouse. I ordered a 6400 to tide me over and it was shipped from CA. The TN warehouse would have been a lot closer.

They are indeed screwing around with the pages probably just to keep more customers on their site; just as someone else mentioned on this forum. And yes, it's been quite annoying for people waiting for E6xxx. :mad:

its just mainly e6600 but others as well
u can get it from ewiz.com... oem is for 185$
or zzf has retail for 200$ and u can do a price grabber review to get 5$ back
the review thing only works on retail stuff
its a retail for 195$ if u do the review
i myself would rather go for the oem at ewiz

Well... this conroe flame has died in me sort of. I've waited for so long that I feel like I could wait a couple of more weeks no problem till the stocks become stable at etailers, and the prices are reduced close to $300:toast:

Hopefully.

All my suppliers are now telling me they are charging more. My latest price quote was $340 for the E6600 - WHOLESALE cost, which is more than I sold a bunch of them for. Shoot, one of my suppliers wants $375 for each one! :nono:

They also significantly raised prices on the entire line of Core 2 Duo chips.

Now I have to get home from work to gaze at it's beauty since I still have not made a decision on which affordable board to get. :p:

I've been checking yous site religiously for a couple of weeks now. I really wanted to order the ASUS P5B DH from you. I will as soon as you get some, but instead I settled today for MSI 975X Platinum V2

why not just order the e6600 from outpost for 319 shipped? Itll ship out on the 21st.. contrary to what the website says. Everyone here is going to be overclocking their cpu's, so the warranty is useless.. and also, who uses a stock HSF?

with oem conroes, u have to be careful... they arnt flat...
u need to do a full lapping to make them flat

Is not just about the heat sink and warranty. Retail cpu holds their value better than oem for resale. Of course everybody will be overclocking the retail as well, the warranty is not necessarily useless.

Well, I was finally able to get a Core 2 Duo E6600.

Got it from ZipZoomFly, my NEW #1 source for PC hardware (F the egg), Anyhow, 2nd day, wish they'd ship it out today but will be fine if tomorrow.
