It's probably some gay colour under the casing - PCB green, or that hideous beige that they used to make stuff in

What LED fans are those? Trying to find some that don't just "glow".
Zalman fans are the best looking fans that I know about. :)
Noone makes fans like'em. You can also see the leds on the CNPS9700. :)
Just finished leak-testing. Still a fair bit of cable management to go, but I'm done for this weekend...
I think I need to redo the GPUs because I can't get the side panel on because the fan hits the tubing and pinches it. Going to borrow a page from CD and do the cards in parallel with EK Stubbies.

@zlojack
you should water run your 3870s in parallel
my first time posting here. but been a lurker here for so long. lol! ;-)
my simple rig..not yet final. will add 2nd loop for the chipset and mosfet and will be cooled by a pa120.1

very clean. but why the flow killing elbows??
brilliant. nice job on the clean build, and the elbows werent really that bad, just nit picking. :p plz tell me thats not an aluminum topped GTX cpu block. watch out for corrosion. you should try and get a copper top or just get a D-tek Fuzion CPU block
yes sir,i am aware of that issue on the gtx block. i already have the copper top and will change it if i have spare time. right now im using a strong concentration of feser base anti-corrosion additive as a prevention.
thanks for a warning. ;-)
perfect, just making sure you are aware. with the new top you dont have to run any anti corosive just so u know.
There you go phillip..hope this shows you enough.

nice very clean setup ;)
i love that pump cooler ;) very nifty
Yeh I reckon it makes a big difference too, If i turn the low RPM fan off, it gets very warm to touch, but with the fan on it's cool as. The same can be said with the low RPM 120mm Yate loon fan on the ram, I have a OCZ ram cooler that made to much noise and didn't fit well at all, not to mention cooling was nothing to write home about. I reckon I might try and bling it up a bit and make a easy mount for it..........anyone interested.
Nothing glamorous, just well working system. 360mm radiator for CPU alone is overkill but in near future I will put GPU and NB in the loop too.
Block: Ek-Waterblocks Supreme, Pump: DCC 12V, Pump top: Ek-waterblocks, Tubing: Masterkeel 7/16", Fittings: 1/2", Radiator: Magicool 360mm slim

i had a look at threw most of these , theres some amazing setups there.
but one thing i dont get is , alot of these setups run the pump line into the cpu then rad etc then some others run the rad first into the cpu then res then pump etc.
which would work best? i was going to setup mine like this -rad>cpu>res>pump>rad .hmm not sure now.
loop order shoudn't matter too much. There is only a few centigrade difference anywhere on it. Go for a setup which will give the least restrictive flow (ie. not using right angle barbs) and which looks neatest!
you wont really have any perfomance gain at all between 1 set up and another, the water temp kind of balances out.
New case, new WC.. not very beautiful, but works pretty fine:

AKK, soo many elbows. JK. love the orange fluid/tubing. what case is that anyways, mayday?
That's 3R System R900: http://www.hothardware.com/Articles/...Computer_Case/
you can get them from home depot in the plumbing section. they are called copper elbows. you can also get copper tees which are copper tlines
Yeah, they are ordinary solderable plumbing corners meant for 10 and 12mm copper pipes.. And that's true that they're good for the flow, it was my reason to use those..

Hi all,,
Just finished my build; here is a teaser shot
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Computer1.jpg
Regards
Looks sweet! Let's see the guts...:D
@By-Tor..... Delta's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, aren't they a bit..... loud for your ear????? wow man, if you can stand the noise... you are a rare breed. ;)
Looks really good though
wow those ybris waterblocks look beautiful. are they as good or better than dtek fusion blocks? damn wish i bought those instead. theys look pretty !!!
Yes Delta's FTW. They are EFB1212SHE's @ 141 CFM. They are all on a Sunbeam fan controller. They are in pull through a BIX 240 & 360. Didn't want to run any whimpy fans, wanted something with a some balls.
Don't think they are to loud, since I worked around Jet Engines for the past 24 years.
Running 2 loops: (Changed the pump tops a few days ago, no pic's yet)
The Fuzion has a 5.5 nozzle being pumped by a MCP355 w/petra's top on the BIX 240
MCP350 w/petra's top is pumping both MCW60's on the BIX 360
@ By-Tor... holy... damn man frig GG rig... Very nice..
May i Ask your specs?
The Rig: AMD 6000+ @ 3.553 ghz w/1.6 vcore, Asus M3A32-MVP MB, 2 Gigs Crucial Balistix Tracers (1066 mhz @ 1184) memory, 2 WD SATA Raptors in raid 0, 2 Visiontek HD3870's (@ 864/1359) in Crossfire, 750 watt PSU.
Water Cooled: 1 Swiftech MCP355, 1 MCP350 Pumps w/Petra's Tops, D-Tek Fuzion CPU Block, 2 MCW60 GPU blocks, Black Ice Extreme 360 & 240 Rads, 5 141 CFM Delta fans, Swiftech Micro Res.
All inside and outside (lol) a Chieftec Dragon Aluminum case.
Nice rig man! :)
Rebuilt my loop!
that's a looooot of elbows... :P
love the case itself, tho
Flow is still very, very good. Not a single drop in temps.
holy elbows Cptn Vortex!
http://www.sixtiescity.com/SciFilm/Images/MTV077.jpg
that is hilarious!
Seriously, the longer I'm in WC'ing the more I realize that every loop is different and tubing/pump speed/elbows/etc. affect them all differently. I think as long as you know how it performs with and without the elbows and are fine with the difference (which of course you are if temps don't change), then go for it.
Agreed. Plus that pump is crazy powerfull. Like a garden hose on steroids
you mean has crazy flow. its not a good pump for high restriction. however, an iWaki RD-30 is like a garden hose on crack.
Hi all! Here are a few pictures of my computer. I hope you like them.
Nice job.... Love how you mounted the Res. just above the pump.
Did mine the same way ;)
http://8d.dk/nano/files/DSC01568.PNG
I lost my back plate for my Apogee GT thats why i use the NH-U12F for now, and am forced to use the x4 PCI-E slot on the Cmmando.
could be some nanoxia fans
My first post ever and you lucky people are the first to see what I have been working on, I am new to water cooling but I dont like doing things by half so when I couldnt find a res I liked I decided to make my own. It cost an awful lot but the result speaks for it self:D
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...drive/Res2.jpg
I started with a 3.6 kilo bronze pipe (bronze is 85% copper so no problem having it in a loop) and got a engineer to machine it smooth and cut threads into both ends. Then I got some 25mm blocks of perspex and got them spun round and threads cut into them - not easy to do with perspex - there is also a groove at the base of the thread for a o ring to seal the end caps. Brass 1/2 inch hose barbs are fitted.
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...ldrive/Res.jpg
I spent around 10 hours sanding it smooth and a polisher gave it a final polish, its like a mirror now:D
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...drive/Res3.jpg
I estimate it will hold around 2 litres of fluid, i cant test it yet as I am waiting on parts to complete my loop but hopefully it will work ok. Hope you like it.
is that a koolance res?
I'm guessing it will acts like a passive cooler as well as a reservoir:up:
@ fragger
its beautiful, very nice.. Looks like you polished the :banana::banana::banana: out of that res..
great work
hot res. reminds me a bit of the Cape reservoirs but not quite as aluminum, or as small.
Carl: Nice setup! And hey Sweclockers ftw :P
@Fragger - Amazing rez. Sooo shiny and so professional looking.
damn that rez holds 2 liters??!!!!! You must have a big case. A realllllly big case.
How 'bout 2-Gallons:
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/9025/cimg2919wf3.jpg
^^ my dad built that :D :D
smee your dad is a talented man! i like the 'balls' that the res rests on..
No it will be external (as will the pump and rad) - how could you hide something that looks that good? But it is a shame it will at the back of my case to keep the tubing run short.
Thanks for all the nice comments, except the koolance one - shudders lol
I have a few more custom bits to make for this build, yeah im hooked.
Here are some pics of my first WC build, I hope you all like it!!!! Still using some old hardware that can not be considered as Xtreme. :D But in a few months I will buy some new hardware. If someone has some suggestions to improve my comp. don't hesitate to give some advise.

Theres plenty of things you could do like paint the inside of your case, colour your water, get colour fans, add lights, but most of all make it uneek:cool:
I have family in Putten.
I also like to have it simple and I'm also not a supporter of all that colorful cases. No offense to anyone who does have such a case because I love to see people showing there cases and additionally like to see how people made their tweaks /mods and still managed to get it into their systemcases.
Painting the inside of the case is a good idea though. I might do that right before I put in the new hardware.
LOL!!!! So are you partially dutch or are they from New-Sealand. My cousin has been in New-Sealand last christmas holiday because this girlfriend was overthere for school. He told and showed me on pics that it is such a beautiful country. I think Putten is about 75km away from me. It's more in the middle of the Netherlands while I'm in the south. I know these distances sound really ridiculous to you all. :DQuote:
I have family in Putten.
My Dads Dutch and Mums Scottish, work that one out lol.
You are only limited by your imagination when it comes to modding, and maybe your bank account lol.

Nice man,
But why didnt you mount the radiator inside in the front bays?
To each their own, but I really hate radiators strapped to the back or the top of their case...been there, done that.
Thanks.
It seemed to me a little more comfortable the radiator outside the case. Maybe at one time put the radiator top of the case.
My last pic of my rig before it goes on sale
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...k/DSC_1855.jpg
merry christmas!
I wouldn't say it's hot.. i'm blowin the hot air case through the rad outside and my case temp is 30c and water about 35c.. In my plans is to move the rad to front bays attached to http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/ac...00_detail.html
The air is cooler outside so your water would run cooler, but each to there own.
merry xmas ICRUNK!
