Nice! Yet another satisfied convert from MIIF to UD3P ;) Was the best motherboard change I ever made.

Nice! Yet another satisfied convert from MIIF to UD3P ;) Was the best motherboard change I ever made.
Just wanted to report my 2nd 2x1GB CellShock DDR2-1000 4-4-4-12 D9GKX kit died on me after only ~3 months of usage at 2.15v. I almost never turn off the computer, it usually runs 24/7, only when I go away for like a day and fear there might be some thunderstorm which was the case now and I turned comp off and flicked psu power switch off and pulled out the power cables from wall socket. Then when I want to turn on the comp again it simply didn't wanna post, but what's more weird is that both sticks were dead, putting some backup ram kit in and it posted immediatly. I think it might be some incompability with this Gigabyte P35 DS4 board and micron D9GKX ram, I had some Team Xtreem D9GMH which I used for like 1½ year (bought it of another person and it was old from 2005) tho until one stick became a bit bad, had trouble booting. But sometimes I also hear some weird electric noise when flicking off the PSU power switch, but it's very rare but perhaps there's some probs with it.
So now it's the 2nd time I RMA this kit. :p I was questioning whetever or not to do it as I'm planning to upgrade to Socket 1156 in near future anyway but for 3.50 EUR I might as well do it for such awesome clocking DDR2 ram.
After struggling to clock my new Team 8500 D9GMH kit past 600MHz (seriously) with the UD3P, I got frustrated and decided to pull my UT P35 back out. Lesson learned: Never send a Gigabyte to do a DFI's job.

This is what my DFI DK X48-T2RSB Plus managed with a kit of Team Group D9 GMH on DICE.
751.7 MHz / 5-5-5-15 / 3.08 vdimm

Your hate toward Gigabyte is unjustified :shakes: There are lots of people who get really good clocks from the UD3P, and come to think of it, many get good numbers from the P5Q series as well :yepp:
More fun with the UT P35 and these Team 8500 sticks. I still can't get the low voltage 32M stability others have, I'm not sure if it's my components or the temps in my computer room.

Well I've seen D9 sticks fail at 2.05v and some sticks that have worked fine for over a year at 2.3v... So it's difficult to say but after experiencing some early death for my D9GKX sticks twice on this Gigabyte P35 board I think it depends a lot on the motherboard too. :D
Currently running my backup CellShock DDR2-1000 CL5 D9GMH sticks at 2.29v until the others arrive from RMA to be able to run them at same settings my CellShock DDR2-1000 CL4 D9GKX was at 2.10~2.15v. I'm that person that can't satisfy myself with lower speeds than what I used to have and rather push the hardware a bit more instead. Have 2x80mm fans as cooling tho.
Have posted this while ago on this thread maybe.

1x Transcend aXeram 1200mhz+ @ 700mhz 5-4-4-4 @ 3.2 V
At last got my ballistix tracers 1066 workings as I wanted to, 2.14v:

Same tracers as few post earlier, same voltage [2.14] - imo gg mem.
