have to write the usual parameters /py /sn /cd /cp /cc /cks /R and put in /qi /wb /f that would fix that it write over total so no fragments are left from older bios in the chip, thats how i'm gonna do, i'm gonna do it tomorrow because i just have my mb and both gfx in the owen to let all vaseline drip of ;)
Oh joy, I tried to flash the new BIOS.
Updated from the beta to the new final BIOS => flash hanged, non bootable ABIT board :/.

Do you have any results chefnr1? Any improvment?
I have to buy a floppy to flash my bios unless there is a way to do all those /* in the windows flash program.

my board work just fine now all is saved when i've set all in bios that i used to do and it stays no more back to defaults after save and exit, and i always flash with floppy in dos i think thats more safer.Quote:

this newest beta bios seems to be the best one so far :) running orthos now 401x9(35min so far) and it's looking good. cpu features in bios are still no no for me, if i change them and save board won't boot but leaving them default seems to have no effect on me. maybe later i try reflash with same / as chefnr1...and still i can't use my default timings with my ram, they are 4-4-3-15 but memtest and others gives errors so i have to use spd from bios and i get 5-5-5-13 and i get no errors with those.
btw please somebody tell me, from uguru what temp is NB?
I flashed in windows with flash utility and it flashed fine.
Does anyone know why when I apply the 1333 strap 1:1 in BIOS, I get 4:5 in CPUZ.
Is anyone else getting this problem or maybe CPUZ doesn't like the 1333 strap.
From what I understand Conroe's like the 1:1, and anything different there is a drop in performance.
i think everyone who is using latest beta bios with 1333strap is getting that bug in cpu-z, so if u set 1:1 from bios then it's really that and u can ignore cpu-z ^^Quote:

Looks funny when you know it usually runs 362.7MHz 1:1 with 4-4-4-12-16 with FSB at 363 then with same FSB with 1333 strap I get 453.5MHz 4:5 5-5-5-15-21.
The only thing I notice in the end is a difference is benchmark in PCMARK05 by 184 points with the 1066 strap coming out on top.
I am trying to keep this thing at stock voltage until I get a new PSU. At which point I will push a higher FSB. I'm looking at the new Silverstone Olympia 1K PSU. After putting in the RAID 0 this thing started sucking some juice, I'm waiting for my 8800GTX to come from EVGA as well (darn step-up seems like it takes forever), so that isn't going to help the power situation. I also want to cool down the NB like a lot of people have mentioned in this thread.
