So hows everybody finding the new batch?
Just flashed to 2102m, thanks again Ket:)
Just as stable as 1613m, and 2002m was for me at the settings in my sig.
But, just as before, can't go any higher with the fsb or any lower with the multi, keeping it at the same cpu speed. It is where it is:rolleyes:
But I must be patient and hang on to this board for a good while yet.
Just finished a new build for a friend, my first i7 (his i7, that is:D).
Asus P6T Deluxe V.2 mobo, 920 cpu, 6 gigs of Corsair ram, etc.
Flashed it to 0406, got the 21x multi, zipped it up to 4000MHz no problem.
Lovely board.
That's going to take a long while to save up the shiekels for:D
On the first page of this thread, there is solution to a corrupt bios. It states to put a 'good' bios on a floppy and the motherboard will recognize it. A floppy has 1.44MB of disk space, while a bios is a 2.00MB file. How do you use a floppy for this process, which does not have enough capacity?
Thanks
That example is for P5Q/Pro etc boards, for boards with a 2MB BIOS just make a bootable USB or CD.. kinda obvious that one :p:
Hey Ket, thanks for this awesome batch of BIOSes. I have problems with both P5Qs and my P5Q Deluxe that crash for no reason, and it seems like your custom BIOS fixed it for some users in the thread, so I decided to give your BIOS a try on my P5Q to see how it runs. If it turns out it fixes my issues, I will be eternally grateful to you! :)
I'll repost for a further report about the situation :P
Scsatemi for English corrretto not exactly ... but use the translator google!
I have a p5q pro ... I have problems with overclocking my q9650 e0 and 2x2gb pc2-8800 g.skill ... I can not be stable with a fsb more than 450 ... my motherboard, which is very strange, requires very low voltage ... if you get up to find the stability you restart or worse does not start ... there are improvements with these bios?
I can install it safely?
thank you very much
Hey Ket,
I'm back dude :D! Still running your 1613m, tempted to try the new 200Xm but not sure.. I finally figured out what the hell was going on with my system not posting! It was the memory :|!
My system will not post off the hop if my memory is at it's rated DDR2-1066! Doesn't matter on volts, or if I refined the settings with The Ram Guy. If I let it 'warm up' for 5-10 minutes, no problem, that is MESSED (LOL)!
I currently have my RAM running at DDR2-800 at 4-4-4-12 2.1v (as opposed to DDR2-1066 at 5-5-5-15 at 2.1v) so it works out in the end kind of...
Got my 6600 OC'd to 3.2GHz with a good amount of playing around, and all of my settings refined as much as I could manage. OCCT 12hr stable and also 3D stable for hours right now, can't get much more out of the CPU without insane volts (damn 1.35v VID!), I did talk Intel into RMA'ing my CPU due to the cold-bug if I get courageous :P!
I'll likely copy out my settings again, flash the board up, and give 'er a shot to make her more stable. Maybe I can get a little bit out of the memory yet.
Can't remember if I'm using the 333 strap or 400 strap. I believe I stuck with the 333 strap as you recommended. I may have my memory at 940 at 4-4-4-12 2.1v....I'll double-check.
Thanks for all of your help and suggestions, Ket! Of course, many thanks for the modded BIOSes as well!
Hey ket,
I was just curious to know what you think I might gain/loose if compatible at all in trying to flash my mb with your bioses. I currently have the P5Q WS mb and I just upgraded my OS drive to an SSD and no longer require the use of the PCI-X slot for a SCSI adapter and therefore don't care if it no longer even works.
Thanks,
I haven't done any mBIOS for a WS board.. and I wouldn't recommend crossflashing thats generally a really bad idea.
hi guys :D I have 2 questions...
Recently I've bought my new P5Q PRO mobo with new bios 2102 (official bios) but when I try to reach the max fsb of my E8500, but the mobo buttle up me at 580Mhz . I am sure the fsb is over 600MHz (infact today I've arrived at 583MHz) but I unable broke the 583MHz (583MHz x6) because of my mobo doesn't like this higher fsb.
- This modded bios as may pass this limit of fsb?
- And this bios is ok also my p5q pro?
anyone?
Hi,
What is the best mBIOS for axeram D9xxx chips? I have 4x1gb axeram and Q9550@4GHz(8,5x471), starp 333, mem 942mhz on P5Q-Pro. I an wondering to get 1132MHz which is the next step but i cant get it working on 2102 official bios. I have allso tried with the OCZ Flex XLC DDR2-1200 and axeram together to work with 1132 but no result. I tried to use very low mem settings 6-6-6-18@2.2v but it won´t work. Am I dreaming something that could not be done or is my memory broken?
I've sold my p5q pro :shakes: I didn't like it not even with modded bios.
Then you probably had a bum board. 500+FSB is pretty awesome for 24/7 :D

@ket your modded bios get a BSOD error of windows xp with 450x8:)
Dunno anything about that I don't run XP Pro anymore, W7 Ultimate all the way :D All I can say is that 450x8 doesnt BSOD in W7 with me.
I have tested my 4 axerams and only one mem-stick worked on every slot with the mobo. allso tested ocz flexx 1200 kit and they worked perfectly on every slot in single or dualchannel. Now I am runnig 4x1gb axe and ocz together and these work fine 1100MHz on ocz timings, but not 1132MHz what i am trying to get.
