no doubt - but for now when you wanna bench an universally available CPU - the Yonah is fun - does have some potential for 3D as well.

Once 14X multi Yonahs will come out things will get even more interesting.






BTW a Merom needs only ~ 2.95GHZ to reach the same Pi times..

Put a 507 prometeia on it, normal 478 cpu kit won't fit i had to mod it a little because of the angle'd cpu socket.
can't acces bios like more guy's here, booting is not a problem, its doing that ok.

maybe your board has a pb, on ocm we had some strange results , apparently some yonah (those with low FSB) are really hotter than those who can reach high FSB.

As you can see FSB increase with cold temp.

There is a relation for sure...

So maybe lower vcore will return with higher fsb? ;)
Hope there's some solution to this so you guys can hit the "big" 4.

on ocm a guy can reach 272 FSB with watercooling and with P4 IHS , no doubt with cascade or LN2 it could do a lot better :)

Why is he using P4 IHS? These cores don't crack as easy as Dothan right?

i don't have one, so i can't compare, it's more safe to use an IHS but probably worse for the temps.

Yeah temp will be lower but as you say it's safer. I wonder how that 280fsb chip reacts with ln2?

Its very easy to crack it..

so whats up here guys... are we going to chalk this one up to first gen parts = junk (hit or miss) and just kick back and wait for the next steppings to come out or what?

its so hard to believe with all the resources we have here we cant come up with a common denominator as to why *some* people (team Japan) seem to be able to BLOW PAST the wall and others smack it so hard their head spins. :confused2
