I got my new G0 at stock speed the vid in coretemp says 1.1625V is this good?
He's running EIST/C1E enabled hence the low VID. His standard non idle VID will be higher.....1.3250V in his case.
Even if someone says they have an ultra low VID, you just need to look at the voltage they require when overclocked to know if it's true or not.
Ah ha. Thanks. Mine is 1.265, for the record. So I'm pretty impressed with 3.2 at 1.25v under load.
hey GFORCE100 i notice ur doing over 3.8 with only 1.38. Whats your VID?
3.825GHz actually or 9x425 if you prefer. The VID is 1.2250V and batch L7373B209. I also have a L737B325 with a VID of 1.2500V that does 3.6GHz at 1.32V.
The L7373B209 will do 9x400 at 1.27V. 50/50/55/55 Prime95 temps. At 9x425 I get 65/65/70/70. Nothing is lapped, may lap the TR120Ex and install the IFX-14 mounting instead, this way one doesn't need to take the motherboard out each time we change CPU's.
A lot of the L737's are good overclockers from what can be read on this forum and throughout the Internet generally speaking.

SS I assume?
I got a L738A966 here, and it has a VID of 1.3000
Not a great overclocker for me though :( I can't get it stable at 3.6ghz. I seem to have it okay at 3.45ghz at 1.47v.
BUT, my previous cpu, L737B011 had a VID of 1.3250 and I was able to get that stable at the same temps as the L738A966, but at 3.6ghz at 1.5v.
Well, that stinks.. I wish I still had the L737B, but either way, compared to what you guys got... It's 2 strikes for me. I'm thinking about trying a x3220 next. Has anyone here know if there's been more of a success rate with the xeon?
Cant seem to get this thing past 520 FSB, and even there stability is pretty sketchy. Max benchable is about 508-509. Can do this np at 1.53v under dice but more voltage does more harm than good. Dam fsb wall. :shakes:

just finallyordered mine. cant wait to see what it can do
I've got a L737B270 coming in the mail I picked up for $240.. looking forward to testing it! The only thing close to it I've seen googling is a L737B269 which had a low VID, so keeping my fingers crossed that this one will shine!
Heh, gunna run 1 core and 1 mem stick next time and see what I come up with.
Hey everyone! I am new to the forum and is proud to be a Q6600 owner! I am confused... when we talk about OC, do we crank up the vid? or the vcore? I have a 737B batch that has a vcore of 1.20 and vid of 1.2125. Can anyone help me out? I am currently at 3.0Ghz @ stock voltage.
I will soon be water-cooled and would like to know the best way to achieve 3.6Ghz or higher! Thanks!
u have a nice Q6600 -atlxkevinx- i have one with the exact same vid .. on water it does 425x9 @1.36v :) .. although on my tr ultra it heats up pretty bad .. maybe its teh IX38 quad gt that heats it up that much
and yes u must up the voltage for higher clocks ..
mine will do 3.6 with 1.25-1.26.... dont think ull be needing water at this speed.. just a good aircooler..
