Great to see my cpu gets a higher fsb in a other board.. so it aint the cpu that is holding down. (there is a prom waiting on youre desk to get used :p:)

I was informed - by PM - that there was another mobo went down by hicookie's Vchip (Northbridge) Mod......This mobo was down before mine......The guy propably thought it was his mistake.......:(

hicookie you should be ashamed of posting things like that in a VERY "readable" and crowdie forum without even testing it by yourself......:nono:

First i was thinking that too, but 2 cpu's here and so different, when i come too 244 fsb with mine i get the "not exact in round" @ step 10-17 or so,

with the cpu of waus-mod i get a instant lock up @239,5-240, nothing about error message or something else.

Maybe it is possible too gain higher fsb on another board, but our japanese friend's here use the same board and gain a massive 280+ fsb.

Sorry too tell you but i'm thinking it's cpu related :stick: , only thing is that becouse of the ihs on it it was a 10 degrees hotter as the cpu i'm using without.
so maybe that was not a good id too do before the ln2 run.

I strongly believe that the problem with the fsb is a CPU > Northbidge > PLL generator chip related........IF AOpen whould be so kind to provide us a FULLY UNLOCKED bios with ALL features(deviders-multies-etc.), I think that we could solve a LOT of our problems......;) :)

Yes, agree with you, but any BIOSmodder can do this :confused:

My T2400ES have a wall at 237Mhz it's too bad :(

Biosmodders aren't here anymore coz........there aren't any proggies out there to support newest bios files.......If we had a NEW Modbin proggie, I think that we whould be OK.......;)

:confused: a bios modder can't just add options to the bios, they can only lock/unlock options that are already coded into the bios

I'm quite sute that 80-100% of the problem is related to cpu. Maybe we can improve it by raising the voltage of the fsb.

yep......i know, but under ln2 you gaint 4 mhz fsb more if i remember ok.

so maybe its cooler here @ air so i got the 4 mhz too......

i try the prometeia , but i think its not helping on you're cpu.

Ummm...I don't have any problem with booting into windows. I have a problem RUNNING the cpu IN windows...As evap temps get colder, the cpu becomes more FSB limited....

Okay, nice anyway :)

Has anybody tried to "burn-in" a Core Duo to see if it enables the cpu to run at higher FSB? I think it's kind of interesting because everybody hits a FSB wall..

cpu can boot with 262FSB (3.4Ghz), but pi stable is only 258FSB :(
