Also took a couple of pictures of my desktop. A little dusty though.
Specs:
GB P67-UD4
Intel 2500k @ 4.5GHz(1.35v) + TRUE Cu(had to zip-tie it up because the weight made the temps go up 10C+)

Sagart, very stylish and clean build. Especially the sata cables are arranged great :)
@patrock: is that the new version of the Icy Vision?
Yepp, but Rev. 2 only fits on more graphiccards than Rev. 1.
Soooooo much room!!
At least make good use of it...

there's no more room in my case except for some storage :'(
LOL
mixed sli
reversed chassis fan
reversed psu
now you mention it the back fan is placed wrong :s
the mixed sli is cos of money reasons and i cant turn the psu around cos of the bottom fan
am so ashamed tho :'(
Top Fans could also be used as exhaust fans....
As for the bottom fan, you can always open some new mounting holes in the bottom of your case and move it towards the hdd cage...this should free up some space for you to roll over the PSU...
Fixing the back fan should normally lower your cpu temps a bit....
@Trolle: nothing to be ashamed dude...this is what XS is all about, helping each other out!
You need to get a nylon brush and a can of compressed air to clean out the dust in that PSU.
I advise you to face the PSU downwards too. As you been using an all intake airflow, the amount of dust is viewable in the pictures.
The palit's exhaust & intake could enjoy a blast of compressed air as well.
The top fans need not be exhaust as the D14 direction of airflow would be out the rear, but they would aid in any heat the gpus add to your casing.
Hehehe...awesome :)
@ angelreaper guess this massive passive setup is on the "test station"? Just curious.....how much does it weigh??
Otherwise
My take is two 6990s are more impressive than any air cooler. :)
ups...sory wrong angle :D

It is all good!!
Very nice patrock84.

Looking really good guys.
@emir: what case is that?
@patrock84
what cpu cooler is it ?
Dang a Raidmax I could like!!
What you using for the burner and how do you like it?? Need to find one.
monster it is :)
more internal shots?
coolermaster R4 fans ? you must be from singapore ?
Nah a far more exotic place called the UK
be quiet! Dark Rock Pro C1!

Snuck the SSD up and out of the way. I'm actually using 5 Scythe SFLEX E's now, 2 in, 2 out, 1 cpu.

Lol...actually before I bought Vantec Tornado + Vantec fan control panel for my old rig, I had a similar solution during summer for about 2 weeks. Only it was a Lasko-Multi-Purpose-Pivoting-Utility-Fan. And it got my North bridge, and Video card temps down by 35 degrees on speed 1  Now if I could find a giant case for it to fit after modding, and some noise canceling foam, I actually WOULD use this super mega fan instead of all of my side fans and xtra fans. Because the amount of air it pushes is amazing.:yepp:
@Jodiuh looks good...i almost went with that case in white but wasn't sure how id like it over the long haul because of dust but it does look great. I hope to be able to post a few pics soon as i finish my sleeving up..
Wanted to show a little better picture of the cooler (Zalman VF3000F) that got me over 6k in 3D11:
http://i56.tinypic.com/4kcjk4.jpg
I love this cooler keeps the GPU around 35C at idle and PCB below 30C (due to full coverage heat sink). At full load even over 900mhz on the core, the GPU never topped 75C.
Yes the 3000 series seems to do a good job as the N on my 285 does an excellent job. The only issues I've heard is with the A as some people may have been less than gentle in removeing the stock cooler. ;)

very nice and I also find it cool you can do SLI with the cooler on certain boards.
Also the 480 is supposed to be one of the hottest GPUs ever and I rarely see it hit 70C in gaming at 1920x1200 in games like TDU 2 and Wings of Prey (soon to be Cliffs of Dover)

You could have one heck of a job polishing cars.
:D :D
Here's mine with the side off.
that looks more restrictive than anything, assuming he has Optical/Hard Drives in those top bays.
it would be better if you just used the rear exhaust duct instead of the intake.
When did I say there wasn't? I was pointing out he has optical drives and hard drives blocking that fan and he is cutting off all other air that fan would take in the case by restricting the CPU cooler intake to that one fan. The exhaust makes sense, but not the intake.
Also you can see the duct stops way before the fan, probably because of the drives... (see all those half circles, no duct)
To make it more clear without the intake duct he still gets the air from the front intake, but he also gets air from the top, bottom and side of the fan. The exhaust duct is a good idea to keep from recirculating hot air after being blown through the CPU cooler.
Thanks! The ducting dropped about 7 C off.

Good choice in fans btw, I own 4 FM121's
could you please tell us where your HD is? Also you have no optical drive at all? External maybe?
gotcha, have you considered enclosing the gaps around the front FM121? Black foam rubber would do the job.
I have also broken a FM121 and it is a sad moment in your computing history as they are around $20(US) each.
BTW if you are interested in colder air, click the link in my signature.
Good idea. I hadn't thought of that--I'll try it out.
The two main ways forward I have been thinking about are:
1) how to cool the air before the PC takes it in, and
2) how to create a big difference in pressure between the front and back of the duct, causing air to flow through it faster.
Any ideas how to do these?
one question I had is why can't you bring the duct closer? If you can't fit the full size you could step it down to 120mm then tape it up (inspired by my work with muscle car exhaust)
BTW that is the exact same mobo and CPU I'm building for my brother, he works in NASCAR as a test engineer for one of the teams and needs an AutoCAD rig. Their work laptops have the mobile i7s in them to calculate tire and fuel data ASAP.
What do you mean by bringing the duct closer?
You made a good choice--this motherboard/CPU pairing has been great to me so far. That sounds like an awesome gig that your brother has. I am tangling with similar issues on a much smaller scale--another project of mine is trying to make an RC car go as fast as possible (I strapped my phone, with its GPS, into the car so that I can have a good speedometer). If you would connect me up to him (james.wattsa@gmail.com), I would love to ask him some questions.
I want that Zalman cooler now! :D (Zalman fanboy)
Still like the 9900s!! :ROTF: But that is a nice cooler. :yepp:

I would guess that is on a GPU
It's a pic of the VRM-R5 from Thermalright ;-)

Bought the NH-D14 and gave it a trim to fit in my build :) Very happy now. Maybe I'll change the fans, not too sure yet

He probably cut parts of the lower fins off.
@GrossMeisterB that freakin' gorgeous :up:
GrossmeisterB pure LL beauty :)
Thanks everyone! If I get some more time, I will take some more pictures of it and post them here :)
@-R8-: nice clean setup! why not change the front intake fan to blue as well?
As wrong as it sounds it happened. I hold my hands up, 5 of the bottom fins got a little shave so that it would fit on my classified. I figured it be less heart breaking to botch up a heatsink than to kill my chipset heatsink in case i needed to rma the board sometime in the future.
loooooove the way that TRUE-Cu came out in the pic u quoted
is this what u looking for?
