thanx for answers
1. as there is only ICH6 SATA from intel, so no drivers on floppy nor on CD guys.
2. I have found that it is no use of formating whem installing windows, cause it just formats and then it does not see the drive after restart....
3. created 100Gb (caus windows sees only up to 127Gb before SP2) NFTS partition with partition magic and then it was recognized by windows install after it restartedduring install. guys what is the differece then, it should format the partition in the same manner.... besides when it tells you should use SATA drives only after SP2 (in the manual).
well, after SP2 install I have resozed partition up to full 300GB with partition manager again from DOS.
but I cannot find out how to get that Vcore option working on that board!
actually just realised that the uwire mod to 1.468v wouldn't work
however, a mod to 1.404v would be fine, just VID2 to VSS
where is that on a pin-map? :) is there any picture and table vof voltages?
Here, I annotated the pics for you

I know, i was thinking about it and my my idea was bad.Quote:

but is possible give 1.436V. Vid 2 and Vid 1 to VSS, but with two u-wire.
yup or 3 u-wires for 1.452 ;)
does that 1 on the table means connect to VSS???
to change from 1 to 0, you need to connect the relevant VID to VSS
Respect! How did you made the water so cold?:wiggle:Quote:

Hi guys, I've just come in to contact with a Dothan 735 i'd like to play about with and need a smidge of help with all this. I had a read of the first page but it all seems a little over my head as this is all a bit more complicated to the overclocking i've done before.
From what I understand I need the grab the old CT-479 to use it on a 478 platform but need to get a compatible ASUS motherboard and BIOS to be able to get it up and running but some boards lack certain features like voltage control, but that can apparently be changed through CPUMSR though only up to about 1.38v, however if I want more i'd need to do the wire trick to enable up to 1.58v or something along those lines.
Any pointers or recommendations would be supoib.
Cheers :D
I'm looking for Afudos version v1.16b. This link http://www.akiba-pc.com/Afudos_116b.zip seems to be dead.
Anywhere else that I could get it from ?
I uploaded it to my webspace
http://home.comcast.net/~siki3d/AFUDOS.zip
I used the same method described here ... it worked like a charm ! :hehe:
30 degrees in idle - 42 degrees full load and a plus of 30MHz for benching :D (no vmods of any kind  )
25.312 s in SPi
for better contact with the core, I bended the clip & kept it in its original orientation(had to drill 2 holes)

I have a little problem here.
Dothan 760 (533) + P4P800SE (new ) +Ct 479.. set 133 fsb, 2x256 BH5- 5-2-2-2, try 7-3-3-2.5, bios 1009.
I have little time to testing, but cannot get Prime stable. I set up with eist + setfsb (new clockgen SuX) 10x200 run Prime.. but fails after 5 min.
Above 175 fsb fail Prime too. Its some cheat how get stable? :-)
Is some setting in bios how i make wrong?
thx
@ex.treme
Lower the multiplyer to 8, then try running prime !
if not give it more volts
1.6v atleast.
Are you remembering to lock AGP/PCI? Have you tried priming at stock settings? If you fail that, you might try testing your RAM with memtest to make sure it's not defective.Quote:

I dont know how find if ist agp/pci lock?
At bios i setup agp/pci 66/33
Although a 760 runs default at 2GHz, I was suggesting you see if it will prime at 15x133 rather than 10x200.Quote:

So i must set 201 to activate agp/pci lock?
I have Radeon 9600, with 175x15 i dont know exactly, was a minute and default v core.
I have not time testing. Tomorow i try another setups'.
thx
