bon overclock Suge Knight! Ece que tu es stable a cette vitesse? Mon 6600 a un batch# tres ressemblant (L631B) je suis curieux de voir ton vfsb /vmch svp.

nice overclock suge knight! Are you stable at this speed? My 6600 has a very similar batch# (L631B). I am curious to see whats your vfsb / vmch plz.

No, i'm not stable. I don't mod my motherboard but all voltage is to max in bios.
Yes!:DQuote:

Did you increase the MCH and memory voltages to compensate for the extra load of 4 sticks?Quote:

Thank you Intel for that heatspreader
But I love the board. Stil on 2333 btw, but I'll try 2507 soon. Atm I'm making a mount for 2 40mm fans on the NB. How bad is the thermal paste on the NB? Do I have to replace it?
Supertim0r, how did you make that switch for the jumper reset?
I'm afraid I'm going to rip the pins right off the board if I keep pulling and resetting the jumper. Plus its next to impossible to get to the side of an 8800GTS.
If you're going from 2 sticks to 4 sticks the MCH has to do more work to manage them. If you were on the edge with 2 then 4 will put you over.Quote:

Has anyone been able to find a fan and/or a better heatsink for the NB that will fit with a Tuniq Tower installed? If you have a Tuniq installed correctly with the fan blowing air towards the back of the case there is almost no room at all between it and the stock HS.
I used a "power led" wire from an old case, added a third wire and soldered a switch (pin 1-2 = normal, 2-3 = clear)
sorry for crappy pics (camera won't cooperate)

Bah. I don't think I'm going to be able to make one of those. I don't have any of the tools I'd need nor the cash to get them after busting the bank with this new system build lol.
Guess I'm going to be stuck being a jumper puller until I get some more cash flow and learn how to go out about soldering things lol.
I am thinking of water cooling now. Which leads to the question, would it be worthwhile to get a WC block for the 975x or just leave it as it is now with the stock heatsink and a 40x20mm maglev fan on it running 7 volts?
stock cooler with a good fan over or maybe swiftech mcx159
has anybody got a problem with channel b slots
iam using latest bios but never checked with other bios's
http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/3374/chbdu5.jpg
as you can see both channel B slots on motherboard
have diffrent read delay's from channel A slots.
what this motherboard bios needs is a, trfc setting and read delay setting
like in my pw564 ws motherboard.
could anybody check this with other bios's
cheers
Yes I get different tRDs values when I set an 800 Freq. I can try the sticks separately and it will set identical tRDs no matter what slot I plug them in. I only get mismatching tRDs @ an 800 Freq and using two sticks.Quote:

Why? I have no clue. Luckily for me I run 533 or 667 most of the time anyway. I'd only need an 800 Freq if I was running @ 3.GHz and wanted to run my ram @ DDR2 1000. For now I suppose you can use memset to correct it.
I am trying to format a fresh Hard Drive and cant seem to get my motherboard or Windows Set-up to recognize my A: floppy drive.
Here is current set-up:
Bad Axe 2 stock BIOS
Intel E4300
2g corsair pc8500
evga 8800 gtx
Lite-On CDR52x on EIDE
Internal floppy plugged into floppy interface
Seagate Barracuda 250g on Serial ATA Port 0
In the Bad Axe BIOS under Floppy there is nothing listed and when trying to install Windows using F6 to install Intel's SATA drivers (to recognize the harddrive) I just get:
"please insert the disk labeled manufacturer-supplied hardware support disk"
While the power light on the floppy is on, and the cable connections are solid, it doesnt seem to register.
Is there something in the BIOS I need to set to get Bad Axe to recognize my floppy correctly?
Or something else?
Well, I had the same problem and guess what - it was blank Intel floppy. So I downloaded drivers from intel and wrote them to original floppy. Your floppy probably doesn't have any drivers either.Quote:

I've been reading this thread but I can't seem to get my CPU to overclock.
my setup is:
E6600 with Tuniq 120
BadAxe 2 BIOS 2507
2GB Gskill http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231114
Seasonic 430W Power Supply
the current CPU temp in bios is 37
If I could get it overclocked at around 3.4-3.6 I will be happy.
Can you guys please give me some step by step instructions on what to change in the bios?
Thank you in advance

But it seems that the Bad Axe 2 simply isnt recognizing any of the internal floppy drives I hook up.
There is not even an option in the Bios even though the internal drives have lights flashing and work on other computer just fine.
If your only running a single drive, you don't need the drivers from the floppy. I hope you knew that. The diskette is ONLY for RAID (2 or more drives).
