Hm, I seem to have the same thing. I'll be damned if I know what it means, though.
Oh, and as far as I can tell, I have no video issues.

have you install the latest intel chipset driver?
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scri...=2261&lang=eng
I have the latest chipset drivers installed. So, syne_24, your SMBus controller has a driver installed? On my General tab it says there is no driver present. Presumably, the same situatiuon as Jungle+=.

I have the same supposedly resource conflict, however I haven't noticed any issues with my video.. Sadly you had to show me this... Maybe I can just forget about it.. Lemme find some liquor... :)
well i'll be damn i got it too..lol..lets see if anyone else has a fix..
Mmm.. more A5wDH secrets uncovered  yes i have it there as well.
I wonder if this SMBus controller is some legacy device, no longer being used.

Yes...I have the latest 975X drivers installed directly from Intel's site (V.8.1.1.1001) . In the driver details button pop up for the SMBus , it says that I don't have a driver installed for it .... however the driver it shows above the button (V. 7.0.0.1020) is an Intel release from 23/05/2005 . The chipset INFINST.exe does not update it .
I could also confirm Jungle+= 's issues on my system running 1503. What I'm curious about is if this is also manifested in the previous BIOS builds?
I have exactly the same I/O thingie on the SMBUS but I really, really wouldn't worry about it IMO.
Yeah, due to the height of it I am having second thoughts about sticking a fan on it as I think with the mobo standing upright, the leverage pressure on the chipset core will be more than the clamping bracket can keep directly in place. Vee shall see.....Quote:

The only reason you install the Intel Chipset Installation thing is to "TELL" windows that certain things are there to be used. SMBus doesn't need a driver, just windows has to know it's there to be used.
I have the default 0701 Bios version (which came with the board that is rocksolid for me ) and have the same "issue" in device manager.Quote:

I built the rig in the sig a few weeks ago. I'm very happy with the performance and the OC is Orthos stable at 22.5 hours, the longest that I've let it run.
I had a problem with S3 standby from the very beginning. Stock clocked or over clocked it would crash coming out of standby 100%. Hibernate would crash and restart sometimes going in and would crash and restart about 50% on resume. Very frustrating. I was blaming the video drivers since my previous build (AMD/nvidia) would sometimes not reinitialize the display coming out of standby and it definitely changed behavior with different video drivers.
Yesterday I found http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889673 and installed the hotfix. Standby works perfectly ever since! I have not tried hibernate again, since standby works so good now.
I hope this helps others who were frustrated by this issue.
Is running 1.85 vMCH on air really bad. Because I dont know I tinker around with the ram volts and core volts but when i raise the vmch up to 1.85 i can stabilize at 400.
The screenshot looks OK: what looks bad on your monitor?...Quote:

The third temperature input is not connected to a sensor and reports bogus data.Quote:

Ya know what... I dont know. There was no cd in the box I got so I had to download all of the software off asus's website. Where can I check the driver version?
