Any ideas why i cant hit more than 2.5ghz with the rig below? :(
I even tried to see what the CPU can do alone, and i was unstable at 2.8ghz, with 8/10 ram divided, well 1 core was unstable.
I have a BH-E4 Manchester if that helps

orderd 2 3800+ both to arrive today ive got one which is a LDBFE 0612UPAW from lowestnweb just like baron. Ill have a look at the stepping of the other chip today because im only keeping one. I wont have chance to Overclock with this either for a few days :(
How will a CCBWE 0604 UPMW x2 4800 clock? It feels like a winner, but I can't find any history of this stepping online.
It is a 3800+ some are good, some are not.Quote:

Hi, Im kinda new to these forums, but been about searching them for answers for a while, hopefully someone can answer this one for me.
I currently got an AMD Athlon X2 3800+ @ 2.8ghz @ 1.5v, this is an 0601 CPU (dont ask me for the rest of the stepping as its got a water block on top of it) but when I first got it, I remember looking the full stepping up and seeing people hit 3ghz with this CPU.
Its plugged into a DFI expert AA0 mobo with 2gb G.Skill HZ PC4000 currently at 264mhz, set to 180 in the bios, if I set to 166 I get no post.
I can get this CPU to 2.9ghz @ 1.57v 1hr Prime stable but then fails every time, I thinks its a memory thing as the memory is some what of a BIEACHHH to configure.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Memtest is your friend, right? There are quite a few HZ configs over at dfi-street that may be useful, but they're quite variable like HZ itself. Mine limits to 270 no matter what; if you're near the limit of yours, memtest will show it up in one pass. Let's have an A64Tweaker or A64Info screenshot too.Quote:

Quite a lot of differences between yours and mine - I relaxed a lot of things which helped it to be more flexible.
thanks mate, i'll give your timmings a shot, by the way what is your tref set to in the bios cos 200mhz 15us is a nightmare if not impossible to work out.
how are the 0603 doing. x2 3800
I think it's 3120, tried others but went back to it afair.Quote:

Update on my progress. Well, I saw UPMW and got a little excited, but it's been quite lukewarm. Haven't really messed with it yet, probably on the coming weekend. Initial results are in my sig, more serious testing will come later. It's only managed SuperPi and 3DMark01/03/05 stable so far.Quote:

I bought this CPU from Newegg in the second week of Oct '05.
*I did it this way as my OCZ PC4000XTC (2x1Gig - UCCC) memory just wont take anything above 250, but here is what is weird I am running it at 2.6v...if I crank up the voltage any more, Memtest starts puking up red lines of text...hmmm, fascinating (3,4,3,8,1T). Anyways, I discovered that 10x240 gives me a hefty boost in speed both CPU wise and memory wise, is stable, I am still error free in Memtest at 250+ Mhz but with a 2t CR, which wipes out all the gains of the 1T timing. Temps under load never go above 48c.
what bios are most of u guys (with the good clocking X2's) using for X2's??
702 for me.
Anyone got a :
LDBHE 0602XPCW
Any results in terms of freq / volts? I might grab one soon...
nope, but my 0602xpmw sucksQuote:

ill t and get some screenshots on here, just that i aint got the interweb on my new PC, ill get em up here and some added bigger clocks ive finished my exams, so about 3 weeks time
forgot to post this in the thread, i have an LBDHE 0601 TPDW, does 2800Mhz around 1.45 volts actual, dual primeable. I really need to get a better o/c mobo, 3Ghz on air might be 24/7 able on this guy :). yay 3800+ x2's, but i can definitly "live" with "only" 2800Mhz 24/7
Im pretty angry on my X2 result, just 2600MHz on 1,5V , anyway to improve it? I think its crappy energy - my current stable Vcore setting gets from 1,488 to 1,556 , pretty bad IMO , thats why setting things like 1,5V in BIOS doesnt work for me, cuz under load it drops to 1,458 and so ... Im screwed ... Anyway to improve OC? somebody help .. its LDBHE 0506 DPMW :stick:
BTW Whats that T & N chip thing?
Anyone had a 4400 and a FX-60? I'm really not happy with my 4400, because it doesn't matter how much voltage I put into it. It just will not be stable above 2750. Im running 250x11 right now just so I can have the low voltage. I can't get 255x11 stable even with loose ram timings and a divider.
I could get this overclock on water and ditch my TEC. BUT, I don't wanna ditch my TEC.
I think I'm gonna get an FX-60 and sell my 4400. Do the FX-60s overclock any better than their counterparts?
Well got my ldbhe 0603 wpaw to 2.6 1.4 so im very happy, havent primed but has never crashed even while gaming and doing super pi.
