Ran and passed then noticed ram was @ 2T command rate. Set to 1T and re-ran. No difference that I could see.

Some more 5.1 low volts action :)
4c8t with linx runing in 4t it gives you lesser Gflops then 4c4t with linx using the whole 4t. For the same mHz Gflops will increase with mem mHz and timings.
Bios Settings:
LCC : 75% ( 1.416v load 1.424 idle )
vCore: 1.425v
VccSA: 0.95 ( midle table value never got it to (des)improve my OC, it didnt got better or worst results changing this )
VccIO: 1.1125 ( this was the magic number for me, with 1.15v with 1.440v in bios it wouldnt be stable, with 1.1v, stable with 1.44v but it wasn't with 1.425, 1.1125v did the trick )
[Disclaimer: I also move the VRM freq: from 700Mhz to 450Mhz when I change the volts from 1.1 to 1.1125v so it could have been only one of the changes ]
CPU PLL - 1.65v ( it did changed my OC, but it has some kind of relationship with PLL overvoltage, with 5Ghz and PLL off ( my CPU does 50x with no PLL OV ) I've to have it around 1.75v for stability )
Dram was taking 1.65v for 2133 CL9 [ 8Gb kit ]
thx mate for sharing.. great chip also :D will test ur settings with mine, but i think it is not as good as yours. i use the same vccio v, and cpu pll 1,675 for 4,8ghz.. maybe i can go a little bit lower with the other v. thx again.
Great chip:up:
I'm getting down to about 1.44 on mine for 5.1GHz on my P67A-UD7 (for my LinX runs). Just about to install a MIVE to see what improvements there may be.
Could you pls confirm that I'm understanding you correctly.................
It is better to turn HT off and then run 4c4t and 4t in LinX (for improved Gflops).:)
Thanx
By Gflops ( I wont argue about what's harder to pass) but keep in mind that I 've found a relationship between Gflops and watts.
4C8T [8T linx] < 4C8T [4T linx] < 4C4T [4T linx]
Indeed true, as I like to test everything by myself I went out for some tests.
Ambient temp were 21ºC. I had the AC on so ambient temp didn't change.
OPT1 = Temp from the last Rad [TPA120.3]
Water temp in the res ( It's after the CPU OUT ) = 23~24ºC
Cooling is made by a costum WC setup:
Feser Xchanger 360
TPA120.3
Swiftech 655
The rads are in a cake, like
[fans push][Xchange][fans2][TPA][fans pull]
push/pull by Enermax Magma(69CFM) , fans2 are the TFC midspeed (1800rpm ~88CFM).
Old Linx (==New Linx ) with no HT runing in 4T, voltage 1.408~1.416v
~141w
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1...offoldlinx.jpg
New Linx with HT , 8T, voltage 1.424~1.432v
~143w
http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/395/htonnewlinx.jpg
Desclaimer: I had to bump the volts from 1.420v to 1.44v ( in bios ) in order to run HT on without freezes/BSOD. 1.420v freezed after few seconds, 1.435 BSOD after the 2nd run. Also keep in mind that I'vent yet been working in to optimizations for HT on voltages, so what did was just work the vCore out until I got it stable, more can be done to bring vCore to around 1.435 at least, I'm sure.
well i got 4.5+ghz to start being stable. been working on 4.65ghz with full mem and 2x uncore with a 980x. i can get it to pass everything upto 8gigs of mem out of 12 and it's averaging around 101-105gFlops.
i'll post 4.5 here in a bit, but i'd rather show 4.65 with 100+gFlops :P
alright, here's my offering.
Cooling - Water
CPU - 980x BATCH: 3013A540
Motherboard - Rampage III Extreme
4.509ghz cpu / 3733 uncore (155x29)
1.48125 vcore / 1.3625 VTT
1.709v DRAM / 1.815v PLL
6gb (4096 out of 4133 available) 1866 CL9 stock timings
hyperthread OFF
haven't been able to get 12 gigs to be stable yet still. i get through about 10 rounds and then it errors out. pretty sure it's wanting more VTT but i refuse to feed more than 1.41v to it.
don't mind the temps on GT. actual temps are between 83-84*c, GT's just reading off of bad internal sensors. i've checked a million times through bios, ROG and about a dozen thermal sensors i've swaped over the top of the cpu.

Couldn't get 100.0000 Gflops but tried. Need water cooling to go any faster, maybe someday.
Much more fun to O/C these than the SB's.

Vantage bench P53829
try increasing your uncore there Crossg, that'll boost your gFlops. if you can get it upto 2x you should be nearing 110gFlops at that speed and your temps look decent enough to try it.

CryptiK,looks like you have another nice cpu:up:
very nice vcore on that run.
Thanks mate, yeah seems like I got lucky. Had to look through a lot of results on the web with unconfirmed stability, just 'high MHz CPUZ only' shots and vantage runs and get a batch list together. Had 3 batches locally to choose from and went for what I thought would be the best one.
