OK, I AM stupid. The reason the burn in mode didn't work for me is that I didn't realize Intel's BIOS requires one "Return" to be able to change the number (with no visible feedback), and then you need another Return withoutvisible feedback to get out of it while setting it. I didn't do the latter and ended up with default.Quote:

CPU voltage is called "CPU VID". You disable "Default CPU VID" first, and that allows you to change CPU VID. If it's not visible in your BIOS, then you need to do the mod shown in the first post (image 3).
Clockgen will allow more than a 30% overclock.
i had buy this mobo revision 304 with a conroe e6400, in this forum i have been saw many post with people tath increase bus up to 500mhz quad pumbed 2000mhz but in bios config can i set onli 30% of overclock over official speed ...
I read that there is the possibility to sold two pin of oc debug to unlock vcore setting in the bios with this mod can increase bus form the bios to 400 mhz?
how do i make to overclock my processor to 2.9 ghz at the boot and no with clock gen???????????

I am confused by some of the BIOS options on this board.
* In maintenance mode I saw an option "Enhanced Debug" - I tried turning this on, it didn't seem to do anything. What's it for?
* Enhanced Power Slope. I guess this changes something about the voltage regulator, but what?
* Expansion Card Text. Not sure what this does either. Probably nothing significant :)

Expansion Card Text - Controls whether add-in BIOS card (like SCSI/RAID cards) display init text on the screen when initializing during system boot

Hmmm.. Guys I've got problem with clockgen and ICS 954123 Pll, the frequencies read are Ok, but when I set fsb to 201mhz ( it`s an example ) i've got a freeze :(
any way to solve my problem ? ( systool doesn't work with ICS950525 PLL.. )

Hello people have read most of this thread. Have a pentium D 805 (waiting for conroe)
And have tried doing the bios mod (shorting the jumpers) and cannot seam to unlock the features. Im running on a rev 304 with the latest bios version. I dont have the cash atm to buy silver paint or conductive pen so have used serveral different methods in my attempt and none seam to get me anywhere.. such as silver foil and tape.... Bluetac and paperclip also tried wire. All may seam a bit amiture but if i had the pen i would use it.
Main thing is i am not sure my connections worked but they should have connected the points... tried each method several times. What am i doing wrong do i need a lower bios?
I have considered using intel integration toolkit to mod the bios as an alternative are there any guides to doing this or ready modded bios' you would recomemd.

Right found teh guides on using the ITK. So will get that up and running and set it to 800mhz bus with 30% downclock so that it will definatly boot. Giving my 140fsb right? just over the standard for this cpu. then i can use the bios to adjust above that.

hey guys, this seems to be the place to ask this.
I just setup my system. I don't have hardly any of the options I see in pictures posted in those bios of these overclocked machines. I have the default bios that came with me d975xbx -304
I have the menu with the burnin mode bunin pci express burnin pci but none of the cpu options, fsb, voltage, divider options etc etc
that whole top menu under advanced that I see in screenshots isn't there I have 2 disclaimers and only 1 menu the one down at the bottom? how do I fix this !!! I wanna get this beast going at at least 4ghz.
The bridge mod will let you see and adjust the fsb and voltages in the BIOS menu. The multipliers are locked on regular CPUS.Quote:
