I have to tell people that Freeze Control Basic does not support all of the DrFrostys Features. Yet.
When I will design the new laaaaarge version with lots and lots of features, then these will be availiable.
For now, only evap temperature monitoring-logging, overtemp alerts, and overtemp shut down is supported (did I forgot something??)
Please tell me you forgot to mention we can adjust "Custom Text To Display" bit. :D That'd be uber sweet. :D

Yes it is.. In fact i made this prog especially for Freeze pack.. As gsmaster said in a previous post many functions of this prog aren't supported yet by standard Freeze pack controlers but in future version this is gonna happen.Quote:

All units made after September 2006 have serial on board to send temperature to pc. At the pc side you may use the program crmaris made, or hyperterminal (set at 9600 bps 8bit No parity 1stop bit) or you can make your personal program if you want to.
Firmware upgrade can't be done through serial. Only temperature logging on pc.

No this transformer has only 100mA output. The controller will rougly run without any fans. You must get at least 500mA, best is 1 to 2AQuote:

You could get a smaller one at 10-15VA but its maximum output current is only 1.1 to 1.6A, so if you use big fans you might get unstable operation due to transformers voltage drop. If you use relatively small fans that draw about 200-300mA, 1A will be fine. Dont forget, the total current the transformer must be capable of is:
(0.2A(for controller)+ Total Fan current) * 1.2 (safety margin)
For example you use the controller with two 12cm fans tha draw 300mA each.
(0.2+0.3+0.3)*1.2= 0.96A
So an 1A tranformer will be fine with those fans.
If you dont want to calculate things, just drop a 2A+ transformer in and will be OK for fans up to 900mA each. I think its more than enough fan power. ;)
{.bLanK} GoD see attachment ;) the four keys holes are 1mm bigger in diameter than in the pdf (4mm now) for the keys to fit better

Cheers Sacha35 sorted it now thanks to Gray mole i have a exturnal usb hard drive bay that was knackerd that had a 12v 2A power supply so i used that one :) I just waiting now for someone to put a link up to the new software version .
