Well, so far (and I thank mostly as a result of my new CFX3200-DR and G.Skill HZ 2GB Kit) I've got an hour of dual prime stable under my belt at 2.7 on stock volts with air cooling (Ninja). I haven't pushed it further yet, but I plan to.
I couldn't get diddly out of my RS482 Infinity board but I didn't really put a lot of time into it because I knew my CFX3200 would be here this morning.
I'm loving this chip, this motherboard and this memory.
This is my first success at 2.7 on stock volts and I've been through an X2 4400, Opty 146, Opty 170. Of course if OC was Art Class, my skillz would equal tracing abilities cause I don't _really_ understand a lot of this stuff, I just find someone with similar hardware and copy their settings :)
I'm actually getting a wee bit of hang of it but I must say, this chip rocks so far. I could really care less if I get it at or above 3Ghz if it's going to be this stable at stock volts at above stock FX-60 speeds. (That's not to say I'm not going to _try_ for 3GHz) :)
This will be going into one of my WC setups eventually so I'm really expecting good things to come.
BTW, while I'm admitting to my newbness, could y'all help me out on understanding AS5 application. I've read several posts / tuts on the subject but at the end of the day, their pictures of application don't _really_ show thickness of application. My current technique is to squirt a very small amount onto the IHS and then, using a baggie over my finger, spread the dab over the entire surface. Then, using a credit card or razor blade, I scrape/wipe/spread the stuff until I have as thin a layer as I can but still completely cover the surface of the IHS. Is this right?

Yonah is coldbugging on my auto. -80C LOADED temps on the evap and it can't even push over 2.7G....
Seems my 165 CCBBE 0610DPMW can reach 2800 at 1.375 just fine but I haven't had any luck at 2900 even at 1.55 volts.
It's possible something else is my problem but I'm bringing all my spare parts and water cooling with me tomorrow so maybe I'll know more after I play some more.
Regardless, I'm _extremely happy with this processor at 2700 on stock volts. Even if I could get 2900 stable at 1.50+, I'd rather run stock volts and sacrafice the 200MHz. 3GHz would most likely be braggin rights if I could reach it and not 24/7 use anyway. Of course water could change my mind on all this...
It might just be me but this processor runs so stable and so smooth at 300 HTT (2.7GHz), like it was _made_ to run at that. I just got 11845 in 3dMark05 at that setting with my 1900XT at stock. I'll be surprised if I change my mind about my 24/7 speed for this proc with or without water.

Cold bugged VERY hard at stock :( Can't even get to windows load screen at stock volts 200htt. I upped the volts so I can get into windows. At 1.6v it will warm the evap to about -65c so it finally boots windows. I got a load on it asap and its loaded at -58c evap, stock speeds, 1.6v, -27c core. That core temp isn't bad but I'm 99.9% sure the diode is about FUBAR in the cpu.
Well it looks like these are air/water chips :(
My CCBWE works OK under the phase. It bugs about 270htt. I havent pushed it with volts as I wanted to get this CCBBE under for you guys.

Can you raise temps to like -30C on the evap head and see how it does over stock? -70C on any Opteron is almost a guaranteed coldbug. ;) I'm pretty sure 0608MPMW's coldbug before they even hit 0C. :rolleyes:
Damn this thing is bugged HARD.
12c core temp, 1.35v, bugs at 305htt :(
At 7c core it bugs at 295htt.
Chips is useless on anything but air/water. Chilled water is outta the question even.
I guess I'll get it under water and give it some volts to see what it can do max. Certainly not getting results with the phase :(

I think I remembered OPB sticking another IHS on top of the IHS to increase temps. I think that might help.

Hmmmm.....made me an IHS sandwhich. -68c evap. Gives me around 4c in bios. Gets colder (around 0c) in windows idling. Load isn't cool though. Saw 45c and I went back to idle. Ill see what I can max screen this at though I guess. Could probably do some nice 3D runs or something though since they dont put too much load on.
