Help! I can't get my Athlon 64 3700+ up above 235 MHz x 11 with this board, and even that needs me to raise the vcore to 1.45 V. Raising the voltage even higher doesn't help, it still fails Prime95 in minutes. I'm using a 550W Rosewill PSU and have nothing that's a terrific powerhog, so what's wrong?
Sorry for the noobish questions, but please help me out if you can.
Have you dropped the HT freq. multi at all & if necessary put your RAM on a divider?
I don't know how good that PSU actually is as afaik it's a house value brand for Newegg & not available in the UK.
I tried both of those, no help :(
This is really weird, I've put it through Prime95 for 12 hours at 235 without errors, but if I raise the frequency even 5 MHz it fails in minutes or seconds.
welcome to my world!Quote:

No help, in fact, after updating the BIOS I had to go back down to 230. Thanks anyway.Quote:

From what I've gathered, people with bigger PSU's are having more luck than those with a mere 500 or so watts. What's the solution? A 700w AFFORDABLE PSU that works like x-lax when you can't :banana::banana::banana::banana:. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341002
so, is this problem slowed with ABIT and that only 280HTT
nope
The PSU never did sh1t, it was the motherboard all along, what a POS!
