Stew said the Meanwell S-100 would be sufficient to run the RD-30.
(5A @ 24V & 3A @ or below 20V should be fine!) :D
How are you guys mounting the psu's?
I'm in on whatever fits the bill.Quote:

maybe you can order batch of 24V PSUs and ship along with RD-20/RD-30 so we can save much more money to purchase seperately
Good idea.Quote:

I'll ship them out all at the same time for you guys then. prob wouldn't be but a couple bux more for ship then. Those things don't look very big. I'm gonna get one myself just to see which setup I like better.
I'm down for 1. :)
SO how do we go about ordering the PSU?
let me find out how much we can get it for first, then I'll post it in this thread. I'll know by tomorrow morning hopefully, depending on how long it takes them to reply.
Thanks Fareastgq :toast:
I think you can get more discounts if you order more than 10+ units, I believe at least 10 people will be interested since they need it to power RD-20/RD-30 and by the way I'm in for one too :)
Yeah if you get a group buy going for the Meanwell S-150 I'm in :)
Just ordered my:
S-240-24 24V, 0~10A ±1% 180mV 84%
Dont want to short run my RD30 since it does needs 10 amps to start. Besides these are so cheap compared to the once we use to power the computers.
S-150-24 at 6.5A is a bit weak for the RD30, might cut it for the RD20, who knows. 210 is only $20 more, seems a much better buy.

I have to say PowerFactor customer support is awsome. A++
well im down for gettin a psu...as long as we know it wont short out the rd-30. i rather be safe then sorry with the rd-30.... all about the group buy baby.

My converter I'm running is about 5 amps and it's fine. s-150 will be able to fit in small spaces. Even if we only get a dollar off of them we'd still make out better. you sure you don't want to return yours and get in on the cheaper group buy? hehe. Might as well take that $40 get decent somthing else.
I am good, thanks for the offer. I will be running a bunch of other stuff of this psu so it wont be wasted power, my condenser fans, my second hard drive water loop and maybe a few other things. Money well spent, $40 extra is nothing really, I am already at almost $2000 on this project and thats only the chiller, bloody computer parts will cost me abour $5000. My upgrade is long long overdue ;) Just you guys wait untill its finished, it will be a sight to see :)
Just felt I should quote this to remind you that your all going overkill.Quote:

Could someone enlighten us as to what kinda powersupply works?
:toast:
10A available @ startup would be very generous indeed...
well i rather be on the safer side that the sorry one...im at work right now and will research it more when i get home...but either way im about the group buy :>
Personally, I think 100 is too little, and 200 is too much. so the 150 should be just about right for our purposes. Besides, XS is all about overkill ;)
