Well, I know nothing about soldering, so if I can't adjust the Vcore throught the bios, I just won't do it. Also, I am a bit of a newb and I'm wondering what "speed binning" is?

No voltage mods, no tweaks, everything is watercooled.

well, after the volt mod on the gpu my 1 of my evga 7900gt oc sc does 610 3dmark06 stable. the 2nd card hated the vm on the gpu, in fact, i removed it and it has issues now. funny thing is that either card will just shut down at 1.35v on the gpu and really won't complete a run at anything higher than about 1.26v. what gives here? same thing with the memory, its much better without the volt mod on memoery. has anyone overclocked a gt past around 600, and if so what voltages. i am rather puzzled at this point as these cards really don't seem to respond to voltage at all.
i should note that this is the hardware voltage mod i am tring

whats the max the memory can do on your card mascaras?
i didnt see yet , but for what i saw in the forum depends in how much OC you have in the core like:
if you have only like 520MHZ in core you can do 1800Mhz in memory but if you have 560/570mhz in the core you only get 1700mhz in memorys , this its what i think for what im reading in the forum , not sure cause i didnt try yet past the 1650Mhz in memory . Max OC in core its 570MHZ ( stokcooler)

It's just cuz they are starved for voltage, we will get this fixed soon :)
same kind of tradeoff as on 6800's and 7800's.. higher GPU ->more heat, and less stable power. Shoot for highest GPU clocks, since give more 3DMarks (1700 is plenty).Quote:

My core craps out at 572
I think it wants more voltage.
I could try to use powerstrip to see if I can get the core higher.

those of you running watercooling on your 7900gt, what are you load and idle temps?

its for 7800 series , i hope that fit in 7900
No headroom?... 450mhz is stock, so 110+ mhz on the core on stock cooling and stock volts is no headroom????Quote:
