Do you want me to get some dimensions of the evap mounting assembly and insulation for you? I have it all sitting on a table right now so it's no trouble at all.Quote:

The mouting plate is 4 1/4"x 3 1/2" and is the biggest part of the assembly. If you're worried about it not fitting, users of it could do what I did and not use the discombobulator part of the assembly (as fugger calls it) and make an MDF plate on the evap. It means that the mounting plate sits about 1-1.5cm above the motherboard.
Edit: It's the same width as the stock lotes bracket but a small bit taller.
Thx carlzor... Is the 4.25" side the side with the mounting holes or the blank side? If its the side with the mounting holes it's about .75" too long to fit between... If it's the 3.5" side with the mounting holes then it's the exact same width as the cutout. The MDF option might be what has to be implemented for it to work correctly.
Thx for the help!
Yes, the 4.25" side is the one with the mounting holes. I'll measure my MDF plate and give you the dimensions, then you could just have some made out of scrap plexi or something and offer them for a slight bit extra with your bracket.
MDF mount sizes are 1.5" hole diameter for evap, 3.5" wide by 2.75" long.
EDIT: Forgot to add, there are notches in each end of the wide part where the screws go for two reasons:
1. To help with alignment
2. So that the MDF plate actually fits.
I find doing it this way also lets me insulate it a bit better.
Any chance u can snap a few pix when its convenient for ya? Thx for the help.
If I can get a digital camera I can but neither I nor my family have one. I can draw up a diagram with sizes and everything though.Quote:

Thx carl... I was thinking backwards, it may just fit right in to place. I wish I had mine to test with.
Are the SLI-DR versions out yet?
Not quite yet, I got my first prototype in yesterday and I think I'm going to make a few slight changes to it. Soon though, so stay tuned!
Awesome frag, waiting for prototype V2.0, lol.
PRICE DROP ON LOADED KIT, GET IT WHILE IT'S HOT!!!!
Fan order had attempted delivery today but I wasnt home to receive, going to try and drop by the PO tomorrow morning before I get to work and see if I can snatch em up :) All orders for loaded kits should ship monday if I get them picked up tomorrow!
After some fiddling and dremel cutting to see what would work best I now have the bracket modded to fit with most aircooling solutions!!! I have it worked out to fit my XP-90 perfectly... The XP-120 still isn't going to fit, sorry but that's just a massive heatsink that barely fits w/o trying to go around obstacles like RAM/FET coolers, lol. I believe it will work just fine with the TT BT, and should definately be fine with the new stock AMD heatsink and the old style stock heatsink.
You'll have a choice of buying a bracket for the FETS or the RAM (with and w/o fans) @ www.fragtek.com some time tonight if I get a good chance to get it listed.
Here are the pix of the brackets w/ an XP-90 for RAM and FET cooling...

thanks and a good point..for got I could just reorient the SI 120...since the bracket would allow cooling of the ram
do you think I could place a larger fan on the bracket...I am concerned about the higher noise on the smaller fans but I owuld love to cool the PWMIC better
so the ram bracket only for DFI Expert right? Will it fit normal DFI ultra and SLi-Dr?
@neal: the bracket in any orientation won't be able to accomodate the SI-120 or XP-120 just due to it's shear size, sorry mate :(
@bail: The current production bracket is for the Expert only. I just got the prototype for the Ultra-D / SLI-D(R) model in yesterday and making a few tweaks to it before I order up a batch of those but they are coming soon :)
In the loaded kit, how loud is each fan?
Thanks,
Yan
The 40mm fans are 27db and move a hefty 9.1cfm, the 50mm fans are 34db and move 17cfm.Quote:

^^ HOLY CRAP!! thats ALOT of air flow for just the ram and mosfets!!. I have one 40mmX10mm fan on my mosfet heatsinks (evga nf41) and @ 1.57 volts and 285 htt, they were always cool to the touch. This is with water, so no other air flow around it. Maybe you could mod them for 7v and im sure that would still be enough air flow.
A lot of airflow was the entire point :) Extreme aircooling, w00t w00t!!
I think you should focus on Normal DFI User :)
u can always buy the bracket and then put your choice of fans on it, rofl.
I mean you should have made the bracket for DFI Ultra/SLI D users first :D
Ohhh, gotcha :) I'll have that bracket in to production soon enough. :banana:Quote:
