My best winchester 3000+ score- 40,487

i think maxxx stopped it a while back as ppl are moving on but really good results there for sure................

so what's the trick you're using :p:

Usual stuff: Win2003, copy-wazaa, process priority, defrag, NO ramdisk, almost NO services stopped, and a LOTS of patience ;)
...err and a personal innovation I call "pseudo-minimize™" that gives you the edge of ~0.1 sec @ 1MB.
I will post it on the SuperPI tweaks&tricks thread

i used to have patience with 1M and would make my hardware not-so-stable on purpose and repeat it 50xtimes to get the best score heheheh....but then i thought it's all just tricks and lots of bs for a benchmark that last 20-od seconds......and concentrated on 32M instead and starting getting some kick arse times.......once you get it sweet for 32M you'll really start enjoying that.....and you need a lot of patience for 32M runs hhahah....conroes are a different story though.....much much faster........i mean i squeezed the :banana::banana::banana::banana: out of my Opteron and got it up to 3.5Ghz.....and managed 20m runs but damn people are ripping up sub-15m easy on air lol with Conroe
