This is with a little better contact at least.

with real good contact 6ghz should be possible for 1m...
dual-core @ 6ghz :slobber:
Very impressive! I hope you're allowed to fix it :)Quote:

8ghz soon indeed :toast:
Well, I hope crotale will somehow manage to get good contact and let us see superpi close to 7ghz :D
LOL what if Crotale managed a 203% overclock on these babies. I want to pickup a 930 + p5wd2-e asap. It'd be under dry ice an hour after I'd get it in :)
I saw a picture on hkepc.com from both CPU´s, cedar mill and presler without IHS, so I think it´s possible to remove the IHS on these CPU´s.Quote:

Verry interesting thread to say the least, I wanna see 6ghz pcmark :) with them 4X hd's and X1800 action..
Nice, isn't this board 16X & 4X PCI-E slots? Wonder what that will do to CF results, although the XE should more than make up for that.
i dont get why intel clocks those chips so low by default... with a good heatsink they can hit over 4ghz on air from what ive seen... hmmm
i didnt say i saw an 8ghz chip, several people said those chips would hit 8ghz, but the highest ive seen was actually even below 7ghz :D
so i said wheres the 8ghz i heard of to make fugger push his chip harder :D
and ghz, yeah, afaik its 16x 4x, wich is a problem because in supertiling one card is constantly slower than the other, not much, but i think its pulling down the overall performence.
charles, dont you have a 8/8 board? doesnt it clock the cpu as good?
id rather use the 8/8 board, now show us 8ghz already!
its ces! imagine the hype! :D
Wonder how long it takes for FUGGER to setup the cascade, 1 week? :P
Lets hope tonight! :stick: :toast:
It might have something to do with CES ;)Quote:

Good luck :toast:
Starting new thread for X1800XT PE Crossfire, both cards at 700/800 on 975X chipset.
I am back on the P5WD2-E Premium. The gigabyte board does not oc as good as the asus. The G1-975 will get a turn under cascade as the P5N32. I tried to fire up the P5N32 with bios 0202 and it failed to boot.
I've the same problem with my p5wd2 (non-premium), using bios 0301 and 0402 (beta)!!! I've a pentium d 950 and vdroop, vdd and mch mod @ p5wd2 ;)Quote:
