Not only these but he purchased an Epox board and got a Fic
oh and this,
"Is it just me, or when people know in advance, they buy the less expensive version, but when the pay more and think there's a cheaper 'duplicate' available, they scream bloody murder and call for a lynch mob??? (this seems to be common)"
is a stupid comment

Daniel and Friends deleted it. They are a strange bunch, and all need to go to moderator 101.
The other epox forum is at amdmb.com Maybe Pilsys, can ask the epox tech there, he is from the US, and the mods over there have been to moderator 101, so it should be ok..
Ah maybe Ill start one...
Here we go, lets see how it goes..

could you pls tell me what's happended to your board?
symptom?

Symptom?
DEATH..............
Went to a blue screen due to my girl over heating it..... got new bios chip. it worked fine....... then next day it didn't work , and hasn't since.

over-heating?
I think you got a good cooling (water cooling) on CPU, GPU and NB and air-cooled SB.
It should not be Vdd mod. Have you done Vbt mod for Vdimm (since Vbt is needed to be 1/2 of Vddr but the regulator uses Vsense to adjust Vbt so it isn't 1/2 of Vddr)

Well I'm just figuring it over heated, I am not certain, but she had hit the powerstrip that runs the water pump, and when I got to it it had bluescreend( don't know how long ยงยงยงยง was happening- she says she got me right away)........
Like I said the bios got corrupt, I replaced it- it worked fine that night ( even did some benching over 230 to make sure). all was well........ I disconnected it from the psu and put 3 new hs's on -the vreg( I'm very careful with AS E), lil mosfet under ps2, and the lil fet between agp and pci slot......( when I shut it down it was a fsb of a little over 220 I believe).
Plugged it back into supply, turned it on the next morning. it cycled one time. I said cool, and hit reset to get into the bios.. it went str8 to FF....... 2 new bios chips later it is still FF. and I've tried everything I could think of...including a new cpu.
I wasn't greedy with the vdd, as I didn't really even need it. I only ran 1.77 and the chip wasn't hot( only slightly warm even now when it's plugged in), and does not show the burn marks that seem to be associated with that IC's failure.
I did alot of voltage checks, and will compare to the new board I get later today.
Also there was no smoke/ burning smell of any sort during all this.
I use a low profile 40mm on the nb, but with a 7.4k rpm fan.... it doesn't even get hot, sb never got more than warm on my board with a 40mm passive on it.

I had the vdimm mod in place ( no vbt though ) but wasn't using it...... it was running stock there.
