That is what I am doing and shipping here. We have to pay the VAT which is 17.5 in UK and in my case 21% ( we have to pay taxes twice in US and in EU.... :slapass: )

Just fired up an Opty 170 – CCBWE 0530TPMW.

Haven’t had much time but it’s a slam 10@270 at stock voltage…..Been running Prime for 20 min. 9 X 310 (2790) @ 1.42 and looking good so far. I’ll put it under water and take some pics after it runs a few hours………. ;)

Other 165 users..

anyone put over 1.56V in it yet? my chip doesn't seem to like any more voltage.

Right now I'm prime stable at 2.75 GHz 1.56V.. trying to get 2.8 stable UGH.

Sydney Australia from one of our distributors

we haven't had problems with stock availability....our first Opterons were in fact dual cores here Opteron 175

Well I just took a trip to Monarch after work...

They still have some good steppings.

I have an Opteron 146 CABYE 0540FPAW :)

I googled my stepping, and someone managed 2.9 GHZ on stock voltage (scroll down a bit):

EDIT: Oh, and I can confirm they DO have the SLI-DR Expert in stock, though I did not buy one today

Results are in the sig...I think the overclock is more limited by the boards lack of desire to go any higher than the CPUs themselves...

Still...good for 1164 fps in DVDShrink 3.2 during my last speed test...:)

I have an OEM 165 Opteron on the way from newegg, at 289$ Should be here firday(Good thing being in CA cheap next day shipping)

I am very tempted to order that from newegg, but I have a feeling I missed the 0530 boat. If they're clocking anything like the single cores, I'll hold out for some 0540. Please let us know what you get!

hmm.. didn't notice the 165s at newegg are oem. Thats no good for me.. imo the 170 retail at monarch is the best bet. I'de take the extra mhz/binning + 3 year warranty for an extra $100.

... and now out of stock, lol.

... and now back in stock.. who's cc got declined??? surprised the price didn't jump up.

Let us know how the new CCBWE 0536 does ;) I have the feeling mine from monarch is going to be CCBWE 0534 though, we'll find out tomorrow :D

Dumb observation... Newegg's stock might even be newer than that.. I'm not sure how relevant it is, but the picture is of a CCBWE 0541RPMW. I'm sure that doesn't speak for their entire stock, but I imagine they took the pic.

Newegg might not be the best choice since they sell way more than others and need to replenish their stock more often. I'd say that they run out of older stock quicker.

BTW I'm trying hard to get my 170 past 2844 and it's not going anywhere... any tips you gurus can share?

yeah im thinking about jumping on the 165 dualy but its a 9x multi thats the only draw back. anyone with the 165 dualy got an good over clocks to help me decide on getting one of these?!? i would feel alot better if these were 2gig chips with 10x multi but 9x thats just asking for dividers and 1:1 is only going ot get me 2700mhz.... dammit what to do....? help :)
