this is thread is an exception to this rule, usually no selling outside the classies is allowed.
if you want to make a group buy then pm me.
i can only wanr you guys to be carefull, ask for as many infos as possible when taking part in a group buy. im very glad you guys trust me that much with this group buy, but at the same time im a little worried. please be carefull.
no offense \carting_freak, this isnt a warning for dealing with you, its a warning towards dealing in general, and especially when making group buys. :)
hey you guys, does someone know a droop-mod for p4gd1 ? the voltages arent really stable , they are changing all the time ... some friend of mine (from hardwareluxx) took a multimeter and looked after vcore messure point on board. he found that the vcore drops (0,1v !!!!) in the moment the cpu will be used 100% (for e.g. prime or superpi .. )
maybewe have to work out a vdroopmod for p4gd1 if there isnt anyone existing..
(sorry for my bad english)
check the list, hipro5 (2), do i have to say more? :D
saaya has ordered the boards and sent payment :).
do his edits to the op even show up under the edited by X at X:XX? i still see my edit from the first but it looks as if he's updated it. anyways, things are going along as planned :)
Great News Cir,
Hopefully saaya will get the boards tomorrow, and their journey can begin :p:
::dances:: Thanks for setting this up guys!!! :)
any1 thinking of getting a board from \carting_freak??
Put me on the list if still possible :)
I'm building a dothan rig now and i want to get one of these while there still available.
I have been thinking about this board for a while....And, if possible, I would like to be on the list too if any more boards come up :)
Maybe even someone could mod it for me too :D
p4gd1 can run some nice bus speeds with little effort. I really like my board and wish I hadn't sold my backup :)
Cool air with 780m and hyper6 hsf
win2k and no maxmem tweak:

Default gtx clocks:

275 bus speed with 3850+ would be pretty serious for 3d.
Once you guys start to get your boards....post up your highest bus oc's for 2d and 3d.
sorry guys, i've only got 11 mobos coming to me and people have claimed them all already.
Hey Kingpin you have a really nice rig. I am getting the asus board too. :) Are you using eist to lower your multiplier? If so how does that work out. Is it just as good as a bios setting?
it's the only way to lower the multiplier on gd1(eist)Quote:

so wait you cant change multy in bios then it means you dont have to boot 17x200 in the case you have 780pm? AS far as i now 17 would be the only multy available in bios. And it would be a problem booting @3.4g on air. So how are you booting 17x what? and how you getting 1:1 kingpin?
This particular 780m needs sub zero evap temps to boot up at 3400mhz (200x17). Not happening on air or cold water even.
For air overclocking and reaching high bus speeds in general, the trick is finding the right combination of pci-e frequency and bus speed for booting into windows.... as well as getting higher clocks to fly with clockgen adjustments. I wouldn't want to spoil the fun. It's not too tough to figure out.
Will I be able to change multi's with my ES cpu?
I plan on testing the board on my p4 3.2e (sl7b8 which can do the 14 or 16 multi :D ). Does anyone know, will the p4gd1 have the option to switch those multipliers like the P4C800 and IC7-G did ?
I guess that was some special bios code manipulating speedstep or something like that, would be nice if the gd1 did the same thing.
you don't necceseraly need to boot at 200Quote:

Asus will release another bios for the board, let's pray for the best :)
too bad the chipset 915 is slow.. :(
the board would be perfect with decent preformance&fix ..
good news! the boards just arived!!! :D
will post pics soon :D
why is the 915 chipset slow?
please explain.
and on any pentium m you should be able to use a "U wiremod" to hardlock the multiplier inside the socket, no?
oooo, dude, you gotta post pics drooolllllll. the i915 is a good chipset, i think they are referrig to its lack of pat (i dont think it has pat, but i hope i'm wrong).
on dothans, there isnt a set bunch of pins for the multiplier control like on axps, its in the registers of the chipset iirc.
iirc dothan does have pins to assign multipliers and core and fsb, just like any other cpu as well. the question is whether modding them will have any effect... but it should work...Quote:
