back off to 250
set your trc and trfc to 7 and 15 respectively
idle cycle limit to 16
trtw to 3
drive strength to 8 and data drive strength to 3
see if they run fine there!
Make sure you HT multiplier is at 4x
NVM spoke too soon, same thing happens in bf2.
I don't even have to go into the game it will freeze during the intro video and the server list screen. Then eventually crash.
I guess i am just going to be stuck here @ 2.5ghz.
This is the first time i have ever sold equipment because it didn't overclock.
x2 4400 -> opty170
ocz plat 3200 2gig - mushkin xp4000 2gig
I will probably never do it again.
so wait what did you do?Quote:

250 at those settings run fine, I just know my chip can do 2.6 and i bought this memory thinking it was almost 99% sure i could hit 260.
I was even contemplating removing my IHS on my new opty if this sticks clocked really well, but i don't like mem multi's, and 250 is as high as they will go.
EDIT : i haven't tried 3-3-3-8 maybe i will try some other time when i am not so frustrated.
I've been told these bin out at 260+ so I would really think there is another issue with your setup!
Price on these dropped on Mushkin's website sometime since last week. First set worked so well I ordered another set this morning. Hopefully these will also do 2.5-3-2-6 at 260 and SPD at 280 like the first set.

i'd try bumping the cpu multiplier to 10x just to confirm ram is holding you backQuote:

I just recieved some Mushkin 2GB XP 4000 Redline (2x1GB), I can run both sticks through Memtest stable in single channel, 1 or 2, but when I try to install second stick in second channel, 3 or 4, the board freezes on bootup with 3 lights. I have tried both the yellow and orange slots with the same result. I can put my G.Skills back in using both channels, orange, and the board fires up. Anybody know why the XP 4000 won't boot up when running both channels? I have dropped the clock in my sig to 250x12. Any help would be greatly appreciated for I am stumped.
probably a bios setting
I'd load optimized defaults and try again
very sesitive to some of the extra settings dfi gives us
I've tried 623-2BTA, 623-3, 704-2BTA, and whatever the new beta bios on DFI's site is and while all work well the 623-3 still gives me best results by a small margin. RAM in orange slots...from optimized defaults... enabling CPC, changing the 4 main timings, setting TREF to Auto, and setting RAM voltage to 2.8v give me the best Everest scores... not that Everest scores mean much.

my X2 works well with a trp of 2
I really gain nothing from going to 3 on my 4400+ or 4600+
I haven't tried dual core opty yet!
My multi is 10x, I have a opty 170 default clocks 200x10. it was running just fine with my old memory @ 1:2 divider.Quote:

Thanks, but it looks like I won't find out why it never booted up because it seems in moving the XP 4000 memory between the different slots, three of the contacts at the end on one side of one of the sticks have come off and now I cannot even run my G.Skill in duel channel (orange or yellow). I have another board, so I will try that and give Mushkin a call. :(Quote:

well, ive been keeping track of this thread since these are the exact same sticks as us OCZ Platinum EB guys. I kinda figured yall would get the same issues too. These sticks are very picky to get 3D stable. My first kit from OCZ was SuperPi32M, Prime95 stable, but when i opened up FEAR or BF2 it would start getting choppy as soon as the video came on and they eventually would freeze if i didnt quit out of it. My first kit was only stable at exactly stock settings. 252 was a no go for 3D :( I contacted OCZ and got an RMA thankfully before they ran out of sticks. My second kit does 260 fine, and ive even tested it further finding them to start loosing it 3D stable at around 268ish. BUT, there are others in the thread here on Xtreme that still have the same issues at lower speeds. In my opinion, these Infineons are very hit or miss as far as how OCable they are. I know i dont own these Mushkins, but they are practically the same, so we might as well help each other. But for now im clutching onto my 2nd kit running 265 3-3-2-7 1T.

I don't get it.....in the past we were trying to get our overclock to be prime stable and 3d stable didn't really cut it, but now it's the other way around with these Infineon ICs. :confused:Quote:
