I really hope someone can help me! I was starting to have some stability issues and also noticed that my voltage was starting to really jump around. So I decided to give 623-2 bios a try and now even after a long cmos clear it get stuck at the LanParty screen. WTF I dont know what else to try at this point. I am about to run down the street and buy a new mobo. Does anyone know how to fix this or at least help me flash to a different bios... I did the flash off of pershoot's bootable cdrom. I am such an IDIOT!
EDIT: Ok I fixed it! I just needed to give the bios a longer clear. Oh thank GOD! I thought I had to spend more money again....
When I flashed to 704-X originally, I had nothing but a blinking HDU light. I thought :cussing: then :wth: then  but I CMOS cleared and thankfully it posted. I really thought I'd killed my board with a beta BIOS and had just wasted £100. Phew....Quote:

I had to change my boxers a few times during that period.Quote:

The dry ice alone doesn't really cool the tube much, the aceton breaks it down, and being as its a liquid, it completely covers the boottom of the container, so it makes it cold and covers the bottomQuote:

I ordered mine today from mwave for $388. Should be here on Monday. I can't wait to get it going.
hm...2.9 and 1.65v, that's high, don't the temps get high on fulload?Quote:

Well I did lower it to 1.56v and I am going to run 2x prime for 24hrs @ 2.85ghz. LOL I think this chip needs a good burn-in.Quote:

I ran mine overnight again, this time 2.6GHz @ 1.475v. No errors. Today I'll try in the 2.7GHz range.
NJ, in all your screenshots, what utility is that white table with all your monitor parameters? I currently have Hmonitor, but I like the simple yet effective table that you display each time.
Thanks,
Brian
Hey Brian check out this link. All you have to do is download his file and install.Quote:

NjKid32 what did you end up with for a stable OC ?
I just ordered an X2 3800+ from Mwave, its going in my work rig and the X2 4400+ is going to replace the 3700+ San Diego in my game rig.
I'm super impressed with the X2, everything is so smooth and quick even the OS is much faster.
Yeah I hear ya Windows loves the X2 my system runs soo good. Last night I was encoding some video and running other stuff at the same time and it ran perfect. Right now I am burning-in at 2.9 1.55v it was super pi 32m stable but failed after 10hrs of prime95. So I want to run a burn-in and see if I can get it to run prime a little longer.Quote:

I just lowered my HTT to 285 to get back to something that was stable before. Also at HTT 285 it was stable at a lower voltage. Maybe someone could take a look at my settings here and let me know what you think. Maybe I need someone else to look instead of me. I have tested sooo much that I am crosseye! Oh and I have changed my rams volts back to 3.5v where it used to be...
..seems fine to me
But I cant get it stable at 2.9ghz again. I was stable for like 10hrs the other day and now I cant get it stable for 5min. Hmmm I have no idea what is different. At this point I cant remember what it was stable at anymore. I think I will run primes again tonight at these settings just to make sure its stable here again. I actually had my voltage at like 1.56 or something last time I was at 2.85ghz. But you dont have any suggestions on some timings. I also noticed that my bandwidth went down in sandra. With the redlines and my sandy there were giving me a score of 7200 and now they are at like 6500. Hmm dont know...Quote:

For some reason only one socket would work so it was a ram problem or something. So I got it to boot with one stick in the second yellow socket. HMMM. Third when I was messin with the ram I realized that the HS was a little loose (AS5 must have settled or something) so I tightened it down and temps are good again. Now I am at 2.9ghz at 1.58v! Without any ram tweaking everything is still on auto except for 2-2-2-5. So now the next step is 2.95ghz with same volts and we will see what its made of. I am also going to order a pretty nice water setup that Absolute_0 put together for me..

Does it still boot up and oc same with 2 sticks of memory? I pray that it is. Would hate to see another x2 die because of DFI board -_-;Quote:

Keep a vigilant eye on it... that seems to be first sign of impending doom in my case.Quote:

One funny thing I noticed with these CPUs are, it 4200+ would stop running dual prime with typical round error thing if it is clocked too high. however, I see 3800+ either crapping out to blue screen or just going freeze mode. Interesting indeed.
Sounds like my Venice. It is far more often that i get a reboot or a lockup than to have a program get an error.Quote:

Njkid, thanks very much for these tests of yours. Therefore this is the chip!
I am getting mine tomorrow from Monarch, I hope it is this good. Finally AMD released something for overclockers rather than these $600+ stuff.
