i think its NOT the dual 16X version,, because if it is,, it need to have to core logic chipset(north and south bridge),,, and there is only 1 of them,, so as soon they release this revesion,, they have to release another 1 for dual 16X like the asus(need pictures?? here) amd and intel version..

from what ive heard it should be about 1000 points in 3dmark 2005 with 7800gtx in sli but not much improvement if any in games tho but benchers will love it

This will prolly be the last chipset. (nforce 4) that will be before AMD migrates to the M socket. I bet we will se those comming in Q2 of 2006. that will be the Nforce 5 i belive. but thats just my speculations. I just wanna get one of these new DFI boards and see how much they fixed the damn thing.

Well , we are still waitibg for this MoBO , i have to build one PC , and i think to put mine SLI-DR , and to get the EXPERT but... god knows when is gonna be out is like Ocorber already and there is no sound about that...

I don't think the new socket will require a new chipset per se. After all, the memory controller IS on the CPU. The only reason to change the chipset is to add features...so the question is for me, what new features do they need to add to the chipset?

Heheheh, I use an add in card, I hate onboard sound. There's always some crap going on with onboard sound. I'll stick with my soundblaster, definitely better performance.

they would put 2x16x pci-e on the northbridge, rather then have it split up like the ydo right now, probsbly put in matrix raid support... not sure if they would do onboard sound as that would require a southbridge and nvidia doesnt seem to want to go in that direction.

weird, two pictures each showing a different SATA controller and slightly different places for the Sata adaptors too. I thought it was the Promise adaptor as well and hope it is, as I am getting sick of this SiL BS.

EDIT... looks like it really is the 3114 yet again

it still can have 8, i mean, 4 on the si3114 and 4 on the nf4 16x.

I know thats not good. I have 4 SATAII drive and 4 Raptors both in Raid 0. They both probably max out the damn SATA150 bus :(.

They max out your 133 MB/sec PCI bus anyway so SATA is not the bottleneck.
