AMD system is still running Intel isnt, check the temps and the CPU load figures on the Intel stats page ;)
Oh, and the temps are down at a "respectable" 55 deg now... better get it loaded soon, just in time for the morning tea rush/fryup...

A 50 Deg. C. IDLE, outch that hurts!
ya, how they gonna have their scrambled eggs if they dun got the intel heated up to put the frying pan on?
Over 50c for the Intel set up on idle and AMD runs below 55c whilst on full load - pretty damning. Looks like THG are going to have to reset everything again lol. Maybe they will just scrap the entire test and brush it all under carpet and forget about it so intel doesnt look bad.
The Intels benching again, but for how long?????
can somebody summarize this for me and make a timetable of what happened when more or less? if somebody does that im going to post about this on the front page in the news :D
something like the date and time they originally started the test and the original results and then a date and time note, more or less if your not sure, where they changed things and when they reset everything and the scores changed.
thg deserves some feedback for this masterpiece of journalism imo :D
Just got back from a marketing exam,I see the Intels at a toasty 85+ deg C, now wheres my bacon :D
614w, something is happening now...
down to 485w...
Just got farcry going (loading screen) @ 5:56pm.. reading 558w
627-631w while in the game (f5'ing the cam images)
LOL Intel systems gone down AGAIN!
Seems to be back up and running though...
Did they stop DivX on the X2 system? Its been on 20 mins for hours now...
Hmm well, round 1 to AMD, looks like its floored into roudn round 2 as well :D
the temperature difference between the 2 systems is amazing. intel - 85, amd -55. wow
amds killin intel.
Must admit, id prefer a stable amd rig, than a stupidly unstable, motherboard killing, heat making PIECE OF INTEL POOP! then again im indeed an amd fanboy, but intel boyo's shoudlnt say amd x2's are unstable ;)
Meh nothing new Intel is always been really buggy hardware. You guys know Prescott has 31 hard-lock bugs documented by Intel? Google it. nll this is is two prescotts tied together.. Then the chipsets, bug-masters-deluxe!!! Grantsdale and alterwood recalls but that was nothing compared i820 disaster.
Anyway I see ole Tom's Bribe-warez Guide is at it again. Intel crashed 6-8 times, with three different boards and two different memory while AMD solid 102 hours straight!!! Can't have *that* so re-set the fuggin test from ground zero. :nono: :nono:
Cheaters never prosper though..intel box with Asus board and intel chipset creashed two more times during the night. AMD solid as before.
THe test started out with both dual-core systems running on Gigabyte Motherboards, both with NF4 chipsets (for each respective platform) and two 6800GT's in SLI on 6/3/05. Four tests are running simultaneously on each system, to "stress them to their max."Quote:

This brings us to 6/8/05, which is when things started getting interesting. It was during this time that the Intel system was up and down many times, as witnessed by those of us in this thread. Components were switched multiple times and we really can't be sure that the original CPU that started the test is still in the system now.
Once the Intel system was back up and running, it was reported that the Intel system had crashed 4 times, but us watchers had seen it down more than that, and not just for re-installs. The Intel system now had only one 6800GT, while the AMD system was still running in SLI.
It is important to note at this point that the AMD system had never failed even once over a course of more than 100 hours, while the intel system was down many times (too many for an official count without any of us actually there). However, sometime in the later afternoon (for me here in the Midwest) yesterday both systems were restarted and the Reboots counter was reset to 0 for both systems.
Currently, both systems are running but the Intel system reports 2 reboots (for an official count of 6 since the start of the test, not to mention the numerous unofficial reboots reported by the watchers in this thread). Neither system is currently running SLI. The only time the AMD system was restarted was during yesterday's controvertial test restart/reboot counter reset.
*EDIT: Also, the system test were reset when the reboot counter was reset.
*EDIT: Looks like before the first ASUS board was used, and Epox was quickly slaughtered. Then, after the first ASUS NF4 based board was used, the P-D killed TWO Intel brand D955XBK boards. Finally, the Asus 955 board was installed. That's right: THE INTEL PENTIUM D KILLS INTEL'S OWN MOTHERBOARDS, THE VERY BOARDS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO RUN IT!!!
Mr tinker did a good job but I got "web-page-archives" every six hours I will post when all done and I'm back from my vacation.. My 24/7 AMD machine in sig, while folding and overclocked of course, is setup while I'm away to take an archive every six hours...picts and everything.Quote:

You must really want to see zero uptime for intel with that kind of mem OC.Quote:
reat way to slap high-end DDR400 CAS 2-2-2-5 to the AMD rig and put sucky CAS 4-4-4-5 on the Intel. Whatever happened to DDR2 675 CAS 3-2-2-8, they don't exist in Munich?
Zebo's archives would be a great addendum to the info I gave.
i call BS!!!
*somehow* the Intel Farcry FPS has magically jumped ahead of AMD, but i've been checking the screens for the past few hours and it is updating, yet i haven't seen ANY farcry or anything on the intel system, its just been on the desktop with some program open!!
Edit: what the hell is going on. The Farcry FPS just updated again.. now they are even. i still see nothing happening on the Intel screen :slapass:
ok the intel is running farcry now ,credit where its due, just not too much :D

HT is intel's only saving grace. Too bad Intel did'nt include hyperthreading on the budget dual cores or I'd buy one. As it is though it's single, double and most multithreaded performance can't come close to AMD X2 at all.

i must admit this is like a bad soap opera. it gets better by the minute.. lol... gotta love intel and THG..
