I used to use ABC, now I only use uTorrent. The best by far and very very good with system resources!
uTorrent FTW.
The original bittorrent works best for me. Right now I'm download @ 17kbs and uploading @ 41kbs.
U T O R R E N T
Utorrent or Azureus easily.
uTorrent demolishes everything. It has almost all the features of Azeurus, but without the resource use. The webui should be coming out soon, then it will be perfect :D
It has to be BitComet or uTorrent ... Azureus is out ...
BitComet is alright, but some private trackers ban it because it used to ignore sharing restrictions in torrents.
bitcomet... downloading fear combat at 1000kb/s... ya
I use Bitlord and it works amazing. Always get fast speeds
Dude, BiLord is Bitcomet engine with spyware...Quote:

ABC and utorrent.
BitComet or Azureus works fine for me :)
ABC - another bittorrent client...
the best
its on source forge...
I think a lot of ppl who have posted probably haven't tried many other BT clients.
I've tried at least 6 clients and uTorrent has been the best so far. Small footprint, fast and has almost all the options you can think of, not to mention it was one of the first to implament protocol encryption. Entire program is only 161kB.
utorrent. my favorite by far. used to use azureus the memory hog. not anymore.
i use azureus and i usually reach maximum speed of my connection, which is 900kb/s. of course i use a very xtrem torrent site to reach those speeds ;)Quote:

another vote for utorrent.
I used to use utorrent, till I had like 100 files that I had to re-download when the connection got interupted in a power outage and all of them got curropted. Now I use Az it works better with the extra features and plugin's and even tho people say its a memory hog, I never use more than 2% of my memory so its not a big deal, I can easily play online games while its running with no issues.
Stock out of the box Utorrent may be a very good competitor but when you factor in all the plugin's and extras Az offers I think it wins. Also it just works with my system better.
I have never got my max connection speed out of a torrent, most I have seen is 1MB/s when my max is 15mb/s I usually have a 150kb/s upload set wich puts most of my downloads back to a 1:1 share rate very fast without killing off my upload bandwidth.
There is also the idea that Az is open source like all the other BT clients except Utorrent wich is a closed source, and they did some sort of merger not long ago. Too fishy for me.
utorrent
downloading around 1.2-1.4TB / month (without the problems of azureus)
I started of using azureus but seen many recommendations for utorrent and switched and saw how much of a resource hog azureus was when compared to utorrent. I tried bitLord and ABC but i liked uTorrent the best for reasons i cant recall right now.
uTorrent may lack a few features azureus does which are nice features and all but not really all that great especially at the cost of resources.
MY ISP disabled my Internet this morning I was using Utorrent & ABC. I woke up and my home page was telling me some thing about copy right infridgement, I had to call to get it re-activated, they told me one more time if it happens they will permintly deny me access, and I will have to find a new ISP? Any one have any tips or programs to avoid this in the future?? How in the hell does my ISP know what files im downloading, how does it work?
