I edited the language in his post prior to you posting, ben805. Although we do our very best to censor language that we deem to be offending, I can not censor his opinion as it has not violated any of our forum policies.
Let's keep this on topic from this point forward, gentlemen. :)
well ben, just dont give it dumb names like sandy. it sounds really really stupid. why cant you just say san diego.
People will always have nicknames for everything:
Chevrolet = Chevy
Lexus = Lex
Celeron = Celery
Technic 1200 turntables = 12s, ones-and-twos
20" wheels = Dubs
That will be all with regard to this nickname issue. No need for any more comments with regard to this matter.
:bananal:
:p: one of my friend's name is Sandy :D LOLQuote:
The official nickname for the San Diego core is not Sanni. It's Sandy.

according to this roadmap, there will be 3500+ Sandies with 512KB L2 cache??? :confused:
What part of my post wasn't clear?
THAT'S ENOUGH! :mad:Quote:

Is there any other way? :DQuote:

The roadmap above is not an any way affiliated with AMD. It has been known to be erroneous and full of speculation, which many users have pointed out already.
This thread does not have a 56K warning, I would appreciate it if you would use a smaller version of the picture or simply link to the unofficial roadmap.
So guys this is the retail boxed 3700 San Diego then?

ADA3700DAA5BN is the OEM and ADA3700BNBOX is the Retail, for whatever reason they always sell the OEM a couple bucks more than the Retail as well.
Mark my words, you'll see some price increase on these 3700 SD by the end of next month! :cool:
The AA5 part gives you info about CPU max temprature rating, the default voltage and amount of L2 cache.
The number represents the size of the cache:
1 = 64KB
2 = 128KB
3 = 256KB
4 = 512KB
5 = 1024KB (1MB)
the last two letters like BP, BN, etc. represent the actual physical core that the chip sports.
AP = s754 C0 130nm Clawhammer
AR = s754 CG 130nm Clawhammer
AS = s939 CG 130nm Clawhammer
AX = s754 CG 130nm NewCastle
AW = s939 CG 130nm NewCastle
BI = s939 D0 90nm Winchester
AX = s754 CG 130nm Sempron (Based on NewCastle)
BA = s754 D0 90nm Sempron (Based on Winchester, s754 is why its not BI)
BO = s754 E? 90nm Sempron (Probably will be based on Venice, s754 is why its not BP)
BP = s939 E3 90nm Venice
BN = s939 E4 90nm San Diego
Guys I need to confirm something for sure. What is the L2 cache for San diego 3500+ - is it 1mb or 512kb ?
Thanks a lot. :toast:
base on the code ADA3500DAA4BN of the 3500 Sandy, it indicated 512K L2. But nobody know for sure, unless the spec came straight from AMD otherwise it's nothing but speculation. Personally, I don't feel like gambling my money especially when I don't know what the hell I'm getting, I rather pay the extra 50 bucks for a guaranteed 1MB L2 :D
Wow. In that case, I dont think 3500+ SD with 512kb cache will be any better than a Venice 3500+ 512kb cache... :confused:
Just ordered. I paid by paypal but it did not ask for the money yet. Did anyone else pay with paypal?
We'll be on the same batch and steppings, for better or worst.....hehehehe! :rotf:Quote:

I'm noticing a sudden and distinct increase in interest in the 3700+ San Diego...I'm glad I ordered mine on Wednesday when they first showed up for preorder...
I called Sparco today and they said they should be getting them in 4/18, if not then definitely 4/19, and she basically said that their max turnaround was about 48 hours. So, if everything works out, I'll be :banana::banana::banana::banana:ed, locked, and ready to rock sometime next Wednesday or Thursday!! :woot:
nope, via credit card, they won't charge you till the product is ready to ship, that's the way I like it and easier to cancel your order if you change your mind as well. ;)Quote:
