...it would appear that BorgNumberOne has left the building. :(
Does anyone have an alternate download link for the last version (5) of the BNOBTC, or could you send it via email? Since he was not asking for contributions at the time the project was available, I don't think it's out of place to ask someone to share. (If it were the non-released version 6 I couldn't do that with a clear conscience.)
Hey BNO
I have a BIOS for a notebook named Vega M31 (danish firm), and i'ld like to unhide some OC features other than the build ind "high performance mode" wich OCs it by 4%. I would like to do it myself if you don't have time yourself, but I can't find ANY place to download Your package of tools or any of the tools seperately.
For info it's an AMI bios.
Please, please help me BorgNumberOne!

(PS: please mail me at Dennishansendeh@gmail.com, and then we can do some more apponting)
Borg Number One
If your still around and get a chance, can you check this Phoenix BIOS for any possible options that can be unhidden?
Toshiba P15-S409 V2.0 BIOS
Many Thanks.
Guys,
If you read his last post several pages back, he flipped us off and told us that he wasn't going to help anyone else unless we sent him money. Too many others downloaded his utilities and got his help with BIOS mods without giving him any ca$h to help defray his expenses. Not that he ever actively sought that help, or made it easy for people to do so...
Now, the way he did this was dumb, IMHO. Why? In his post, he seemed to rip all the other people a new one because nobody helped him. If he'd said, "Sure, I can help you and I'll send a link to d/l my software if you'll send a donation my way," I'd have done that. Instead he asked for money without any promise of help or a download link.
I think he took his toys and went home in a snit. It's a d@mn shame as he seemed to know what he was doing and the community could use his help, but we don't need people with an attitude.
Can anyone send the rar to me? all sites now just d/l a 2k file asking for donation. I can't find it in torrents/ed2k/rapidshare. thanks
I have a pure Phoenix BIOS (I think) from a m7680n computer. I can't get it to boot (blank screen) with the Lava PCI 650 Serial card.
I'd like the file also. TIA!Quote:

BNO, thanks for your help and I understand both wanting to maintain your principles and loss of interest, but a pay to download link would be helpful in itself. Your interest may have faded, but alot of us still seek help and understand hosting costs money. Bring it back! :)
Now looking for the latest AMI bios editor, if anyone can provide...
Mmm...sometimes you need a person with a bit of attitude, as more often than not so many are willing to just take everything on offer for free, but when the time comes to give something small back, those same guys want to crappola in their pantsQuote:

I am fully willing to pay for his ongoing support, and I am pretty sure once you donate to his link, you will receive latest Bios Toolkit.
PM him and ask him, the best way.
If you want the tools bad enough, you will at least be willing to donate - let's support these Specialists, guys.
Is Borg still active here ?! :D
I could give some one the Ver. 5 of the "bnobtc" , but i wont do this if BORG say NO to this :D
I really hope there will be some new tools in near future :(
I haven't seen him post anywhere for a while now. If you decide to make your copy of the tools available, I'm sure there might be somewhere that could host them for multiple downloaders.Quote:

Personally, I'd love to send him a little money in exchange for a valid download link. I even asked in several messages here as well as PMs but he wouldn't answer the question. So, I'm not about to blindly send $ without an assurance I'd get them. Now, if someone sends me a good copy, I'll go ahead and send him a donation just on principle--even if he never makes v6 available. That's the only right thing to do.
No offense to Borg, but he can't prevent people from sharing those tools. He may have helped lots of people, and gathered all the tools together, but he didn't write those programs, so he has no right to prevent people from sharing them. If he no longer wishes to help people, that is his choice. Don't let his decision not to help others affect your own.
Edit: Happy bios editing: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HTKF7FLO (If mods think this is unethical in anyway, feel free to remove. In simplest terms, it's just a collection of tools already out there.)

"IDA Pro Free 4.3" is free. No charge. Use Google....
See: Pinczakko's Guide to Award BIOS Reverse Engineering
Thank you!
There are several editions of IDA Pro version 4.3. There is freeware edition (shown above), this version only supports x86 and it doesn't support IDA Pro plugin, only IDA Pro scripts. There is standard edition, that supports plugins and some other processor architectures beside x86 (IIRC). There is advanced edition that comes with the IDA Pro plugin SDK and 50 (or so) processor architectures support. IIRC, the standard edition costs around U$500, the advanced edition cost more. The freeware edition is ofcourse free, but I found out the free edition is enough for semiautomatic BIOS disassembly tasks.Quote:
