The bent ones don't seem to be too much of a problem...
Looks like you're missing some though, that would definitely cause me some trouble...
Good luck finding someone to repair them or getting an RMA from AMD whichever route you take. :)

;) Good luck to Your RMA Kevin - and much more luck to get a good clocker again.
The pic is horrible, so much damage just from one drop off the table? Looks like You had parked Your car on the chip...... :p:
:toast:
I think that supercooling the pins weakens them.
Several other phase changers have lost pins on there CPU's as well, although not quite that bad.
Bowman had some just fall off when he took the chip out of the socket.
But its not 100% dead yet... :D
 Really? Then there must be something wrong with the used material - I mean the pins are not plastic ore something so they should bare low temps at all............ :toast:Quote:

Holst is right, I got an old 1700+ just use mach 2 then lost about 2 pins
Now that 1700+ become one of my CPU key chains.:D
I don't mind a 1700 as a keychain, but it's a little different when it's an
FX-55 :D
With that -100 going on maybe the froze off, maybe chilly will cover that problem under his warranty;)
An FX-55 keychain would be the ultimate status symbol. I don't think P.Diddy's Versace keychain could top that. ;)
Horses for courses.
That CPU definitely looks fixable to me. I've see much worse that got fixed. A jeweler should have no problem fixing it
I have no clue if there is any way of this working but would it be possible to put pins in the socket corresponding to the missing pins kind of like LGA? And for the bent ones just straighten them. I have no clue if this works but its just an idea. I'm sorry this happened to you.
Cpt Twitchy
No, that wouldn't work.
my cpu lost some pins too, 3 to be exact.( soldered 1 back on :p: )
cpu is still alive :D
your hart it beating hard when you see those pins crushed (cpu is good clocker too)
gx , great !
hmm the chip doesnt look that bad, i'm sure u'll be able to breath life back into that baby. Amazing oc results btw, congrats :slobber: ! And killer sword (although I love replicas; you can't actually use them, i tried that once on a old tree, tree was unharmed, replica sword wasnt ...)
the cip cam back alive and the story is here.

Man that sucks bro - Sorry to see that happen to yah! I had a p4 3.2 wich is now on my key chain (funny conrad mentioned that).
- I believe there made out of gold..no?
